Morgan Wallen and those like him fricking SUCK.

In a just world Turnpike Troubadours most recent album would be headlining and Wallen would be working some 9-5. Because he doesn’t have any talent

I’ve prob seen turnpike live like 20+ times and was seeing them in small venues in the early 2010’s. They are a great band and I enjoy them, but Wallen is not even comparable to them imo in terms of playability.

Turnpike’s most recent album I listened thru twice and liked it, but not something I have on repeat or on at the beach/pool/lake. Not music that people want to listen to constantly from my experience outside of their first few albums.

most streamed country album ... top 10 album of all time...This is peak modern music.
They did that with Billy Ray Cyrus but at least we got a naked Miley out of the deal.

Lighten up Francis. Not all music has to have all this deep meaning. He’s one of the biggest acts out these days. Music is entertainment. He entertains tons of people.

You should probably engage with actual music at some point. Like, go see some.

I have a coworker who loves going to see Imagine Dragons, and calls them the best and most talented musicians he's aware of, but he's only ever seen Imagine Dragons. Hey, at least you've seen a second artist.

No need for you to maintain the same horrifically tragic story/trajectory.

You’re 30 and have only been to 2 concerts? This explains so much.

He is about to have 3 albums in the Billboard 200 top 10 at the same time.

Justin Bieber has sold a shite-ton of albums.

Milli Vanilli sold almost 9 million albums.

Citing record sales and chart success as proof of quality is moronic.

If you appeal to the lowest common denominator, whether it's music, food, art or any other product, you will sell a lot. Has nothing to do with quality.

Jack and Jill is lyrically amazing

quote:

She was eighteen, had a California dream
Gettin' out was just a matter of time
He just turned twenty, makin' decent money
Drivin' nails into railroad ties
Boy meets girl, girl's plans changed that summer into a hell of a fall
No, they didn't have it all together, but together they had it all
They had it all

[Verse 2]
Love did what it does, wasn't even six months
Ain't ever leavin', shinin' on her left hand
But that worse or for better, forever together
Started runnin' out of sand

[Pre-Chorus]
He was gone on the road, she was home all alone
That lonely took a toll on her heart
Came home early one night to surprise her
To find her lost in someone else's arms

[Chorus]
This is the story of Jack and Jill
How their whole world came tumblin' down
Heartbreak kills, Jill got on the pills
And Jack couldn't get off that Crown
They found their peace somewhere underneath
The roots of a sycamore tree
Yeah, Jack and Jill went downhill
And ended up on one in Tennessee
In Tennessee

this is lyrically amazing?

You're 30 and have only been to two concerts? One of them being Sabrina Carpenter and you're lecturing people on what is good music I feel bad for you.
