And that's the problem with all this. I guarantee you he's heard that phrase in numerous songs. The whole you can't say it and I can is bullshite. If you want people to respect you, then you need to respect yourself first.

Cancelling the guy over one drunken statement is bullshite in itself. It's not like he has a history of saying things like this, does he?

He's in full trash mode. Look at how trashed out his house is. Out of control, has no clue to respect his new found success. Now imploding his career. It's obvious his neighbors are tired of his loud partying now that they are recording him in the street.

I’m genuinely curious what the legal ramifications are for his label dropping him. They pay multiple rap artists to say that exact phrase and praise them.

He was arrested for having a lil' fun with his buddies last year:
LINK

quote:

According to an arrest affidavit, officers observed security guards for the establishment remove the 27-year-old around 11 p.m. due to him being disorderly by kicking glass items inside. Officers said they gave Wallen several opportunities to walk away with his friends, but he refused.

quote:

Wallen addressed the arrest Sunday evening on Twitter, saying he and his friends were “horse-playing with each other” and “didn’t mean any harm.”

Maybe he's like a method actor and has to delve into this pattern of behavior in order to find his center of motivation for singing bro country.

I doubt he loses any fans over this. In fact, he may gain a couple. Normal people are sick of this n-word double standard bs and don’t care anymore.

hell I don't think I've ever heard anything he sings.

Saw him cover Jason Isbell on YouTube. Decent voice and appeared to be playing his guitar. Which is leaps and bounds better than most.

The argument is always made it it just can’t be said. If it is, if you choose to say it you better be ready. You may lose your job, career, friends, and may earn an arse whipping depending on locale.

It better be something you feel strongly about. Not running your mouth shite faced in a high end Nashville neighborhood. Lol

Yeah that’s the way to solve the problem. Instead of confronting him like a man, they leak a video of him. Sounds like some pussy shite to me. You got a problem with someone, you say it to their face. Don’t hide behind the keyboard like a bitch. But hey it’s 2021 what do you expect?

Yep, crazy world.

And it's not like I want to go around saying it. But if blacks are going to say that the word is offensive and so harmful, then they should be against its use in any form.

I'm not sure why it's so hard to understand that black culture has taken that word back and turned it into something completely different than what it had been for hundreds of years. They've flipped it around for themselves and people just have to understand that it's not a word that white people can use under any circumstances. It's pretty simple really.

"normal" people use the N word? I guess in the south this is accurate for white folks but mostly in hushed voices and definitely not around black people

So, there are people who don't care about or actively dislike this dude's music who will now pretend to like that same music because he acted like, at best a drunk, rich idiot, or, and c'mon, an offensive drunk, rich idiot?

Are these people also idiots?

How popular was Wallen’s music, going into Tuesday night? Besides having far and away the biggest selling and streaming album in any genre since “Dangerous: The Double Album” made its blockbuster debut three weeks ago, Wallen currently also has five out of the top 20 tracks on the Rolling Stone songs chart. With the roll that it’s been on, Wallen’s album may continue to stream in significant numbers, but it won’t be with the assistance of TV appearances or massive radio play.

Just because you dummies haven't heard of him matters little.

Not gonna lie, I've never heard any of his music until I looked him up on YouTube after this incient. If I thought he might would get the money and not just his record label, I'd buy his Dangerous double LP just to give the finger to cancel culture. If you only had audio of his drunken rant, and didn't know the guy saying it was famous at all, this wouldn't be a thing. Sounds like half the midnight conversations in any college town. Anybody born after the mid-80's, white, black, or otherwise, that listens to rap any at all as used the word n***a in some form of conversation without it meaning anything racist. What he said was harmless, and only an outrage because he's a rich white guy that sells county music.

Yeah - walk up to a random black person on the street and say the word. You won't, because you know its not just "harmless"

The problem is the idea that you somehow think because idiot white people have co-opted it, that somehow makes it normal and harmless.

I just went and added Morgan wallen on to my phone. Hope he gets some money. Not a fan but frick Twitter and cancel culture. Now the ACM says he’s ineligible for any awards. I detest this new cancel culture society we live in. Was use of that word wrong? Sure but he was in the privacy of his property and talking amongst his buddies and didn’t hurt anyone by saying it. frick this faux outrage.
