The Babies..

I first listened when I was reading about 4 reunion shows in 2024.. which was a decade after they went on indefinite hiatus...

The missus is a big fan of the Vivian Girls, so I'm surprised I really never listened to them...

They only put out 2 full length records and Cassie Ramone and Kevin Morby are probably better known for their other bands (VG and Woods) and their solo work... but I like this band..

Col Bruce.

I had heard of him, I liked Leftover Salmon, Phish, The Dead, some WSP. So I'd heard of ARU and Col Bruce, I was aware of them. My friends were into them.

After Bruce died and all the documentaries came out, and I started listening back to all his projects going back decades, I regret never having seen him live or getting into his stuff earlier which would have motivated me to see him live.

If I recall correctly, he played fairly regularly in Athens back in the day.

Extreme example and 50yrs too late, but Elvis. My dad is a huge fan and always listening and I was always put off by it.

Started listening about 3yrs ago and one of my favorite artists now. Can't tell you how many times I've listened to his hits playlist on a flight.

I've just discovered a band called Spacey Jane and have fell in love with them. They just take me back to college and chilling on the beach with friends.

Pink Floyd is probably the biggest band I didn't discover until later. Started listening to them probably a decade ago and now they're my all time favorite. Also discovered Ghost a couple years ago and really like them, but YouTube has been putting some really good bands into my algorithm lately.

Good deal.

I’ll have to check out Spacey Jane and Ghost.

I didn’t listen to most new music in the Aughties so I had some catching up to do when I figured out I liked a little bit of it. Overall don’t consider it a great decade for music.

Raconteurs.

Also, I don't know if I "(re-)discovered" the Donnas or not but I posted a thread about it. If I would have seen this, I would put it on here.

50s and 60s country. Hated it growing up, but really grew to appreciate it.

And ATL. All when I lived in both places. All of my friends have seen him multiple times, somehow I never did.
