I actually like Indicud pretty well, it gets better after a few listen
Yeezus if going to get a lot of hate by the public, but I don't think it deserves it. It's just different.

I'm waiting for that Summer Knights and gosh Dammed Hall of Fame, taking way to long to drop

slow start, not a big fan of the first 3 songs, New Slaves is fine, Can't Hold My Liquor is meh, but I'm In It is where things start to change. Blood on the Leaves is definitely my favorite thus far, as soon as I saw TNGHT produced it I had a feeling it had to be good. Still got the last 3 songs to go.

Wasn't impressed by Yeezus, but I'm not surprised after hearing initial reactions to the album. Sounds like a hipster rap album classic.

I agree. Bound 2 is my favorite song on the album.

On Sight, I'm In It, and Bound 2 were the only songs I actually liked.

After further review, New Slaves is a banger.

Here's my first take:
On Sight - Not digging the stratchy techno beat and it isn't very melodic, raps are meh, disappointing start considering how good MBDTF started.
Black Skinhead - I enjoy this track. Very percussive with a nice build-up, reminds me of Marilyn Manson. Like the raps.
I Am A God - God would make a better third track than this cacophonous mess.
New Slaves - Finally getting some doses "dramatic strings" and melody, but still very minimalist in the first part. Nice lyrics. Like the soulfulness of the ending, but it is a bit out of place. Decent track.
Hold My Liquor - Doesn't really go anywhere. Pretty boring.
I'm In It - Interesting track. I like the beat and production, and Justin Vernon's vocals add a nice contrast.
Blood On The Leaves - Love the emotion expressed in this one. Enjoy the lyrics. Nice sampling of Nina Simone and overall production. Could use less autotune.
Guilt Trip - Pretty good. A mix of rap and singing that works well.
Send It Up - Interesting use of sirens in the beat. Nothing special otherwise.
Bound 2 - Finally some old-school Kanye production, thank God. Nice hook.
Overall, I'm disappointed. The production is all over the place and not really my cup of tea. Too much electronic sounds that aren't very melodic or catchy. The songs don't end with much any sense of conclusion or finality. I'm not opposed to the minimalist approach, but the raps aren't anything special and the lyrics have their moments but aren't strong enough to carry it. I really enjoyed the amazingly grandiose production and melody that he accomplished on MBDTF and all that seems completely absent here.
Maybe it will grow on me.

Maybe my expectations were too high after MBDTF, but I'm not feeling the album. Nothing really catches my immediate attention. Maybe it'll be a grower.
Favorite tracks: Blood On The Leaves (#1), New Slaves, Bound 2 (sounds more like the Kanye I love)

geez, i don't know what to think. I like the electronic beats, def something dif, but known of his raps are doing it for me. SOme of the songs tend to drag on. idk, I need another listen today. I know why they brought in Ruben last minute.

So is the album a rush job or was Kanye trying hard to have a new sound? I just read an interview with Rubin and he said that majority of the album was incomplete 2-3 weeks before the release date.

way i understood it was that he had everything but then last minute started second guessing and ruben was brought in to tweak some stuff and "strip it down" which is his specialty.
