Simple rhyme schemes have been my point the whole time.
No, I'm pretty sure your original point was that the cherry-picked lines you quoted only rhymed because he ended the lines with the same word. This incorrect assessment was presented with an undue air of arrogance and ridicule.

Just pointing out that if what he does is so easy that a "dipshit" like me can do it, then there is a remote possibility that he might be praised a little too highly for his abilities.
So are you critiquing any artist that uses simple rhyme scheme in their lyrics? That's completely misguided. Who are your favorite artists? I bet I can find simple rhyme schemes in their work.
Bob Dylan is one of the greatest lyricists of all-time and used a whole bunch of simple rhymes.

Were you this aggressive and foul-mouthed before you had Yeezus in your life?
Brah, I'm not gonna be kind in calling you out when you come in trolling and ridiculing people who have enjoyed his music. Maybe don't be an arse next time.

It's an interesting album. Some will like it, some won't. I think it's great.
Calling it "random noise" and "garbage" is a bit ridiculous. The production on this album is really good. I'd be curious to know what other music people saying this listen to. If a person listens to punk, black metal/death metal or even a band like Sonic Youth, I doubt they would find this so "noisy" and random.

i read a funny article in nymag sat about whoever was the first major music reviewer to review the album was brave.
they trash it and the guy will be panned as "not getting it" he says he loves it and people think think he's just up kanye's arse, it was pretty funny.

So he's a hack because of this album?
He's a hack because he sucks as a rapper and became evidenced with this. The "OMG, he produces his own beats" allure doesn't work when they are simplistic and annoying. He tried hyping this album up with his sheer stupidity and it was still awful
Keep enjoying your pop rap

The album isn't pop rap. That's why people aren't digging it.

well, yeah, he does pop rap okay, but he sucks arse when he tries to overstep his musical capabilities. That is what makes him look like a hack. The fact that he is a total douche of a person doesnt help.

I'm really feeling Hold my liquor. Could anyone imagine Kanye doing a collaborative album with Daft Punk.

Wow this album is bad. I don't understand how even Kanye fans can like it when it's dogshit compared to his other albums.

I'm a huge Kanye fan and listening to the clips on iTunes I am not at all interested in this. Too much of a forced electronic feel that I don't feel fits his style. I only found one song I liked, all the other ones did not hold me at all.

Seriously.
If you've heard College Dropout and Late Registration how tf can you like this stuff man.

B/c it's Kanye and he's a genius
Yeezus isn't near the level of quality as ANY of his previous albums, but people (along with Kanye) will try to convince you that his music now has some deeper meaning, and that's why the eat it up.

I liked it, but I agree with some of you guys that the fact that OH IT'S KANYE is making people more biased. Still, a 9.5 Pitchfork rating is darn good.

quote:Well those are two of the GOATs. Add Graduation to that list as well. It's hard to beat those. It's also hard to compare when this is a totally different type of album and is not meant to be radio friendly and appeal to the casual music fan, unlike his others minus 808s.
