If he comes to Houston it is a solo "man pass" for me. My wife would not like any of it. Especially with his vocals now.

But I would definitely get a hotel and go watch the show.

Anybody who has tickets.

It's 2016, so I assume every musician I like will be dead by 11:59 pm on Dec 31. Fml.

He is coming to KC in March, and I'll be going. Saw him only once but it was an epic show with Levon Helm at Red Rocks back in 2009.

Really wish this wasn't at the Saengar, but I see why. Gotta make sure Prine's fans hips don't break from standing.

Shovels & Rope is worth the admission alone.

Really upset I couldn't make this one. This concert was a perfect combination of my oldest and newest favorite musicians (JP and Shovels).

For those that went, how was it?

Had to make an emergency trip to the vet with the dog causing me to miss the opening act, but John Prine was outstanding.

FWIW, that's not how one refers to the best songwriter alive.

My dad played Prine all the time when I was growing up. I knew the lyrics to Sam Stone at 5 or 6....I had no idea what it was about. I imagined a literal hole in an arm being filled with money.
