Bunch: just curious, who are your favorite bands ? What type of music do you primarily listen to ? Besides the main headliners, you don't like Anders Osborne, Tab Benoit, Eric Lindell, Bruce Horsnby, Terrance Simien, Burning Spear, Dave Koz , Deacon John, Steve Earle, George Porter Jr, ?????

I agree for my own taste, but for the general public I would think it is impressive especially compared to recent years.
They must have shuffled up who is booking things too because there are way less "too" olds on the first few rows.

Ani DiFranco
She lives in Louisiana. Saw her at JF in 2019. Saw her at Bayou Boogaloo and French quarter fest few years ago

Bruce hornsby is a fun one for the non headliner list

So dumb question....do they sell just 1 day passes? I want to see an artist on weekend 1 but don't want to go all 4 days.

Yes. Will sell singles at a later date

I don’t hate that lineup at all, but it does seem a little…white for Jazz Fest. That’s a lot bigger emphasis on country music than I’m used to seeing there.
Almost like the 50 year old name is irrelevant and they want to make money
…. They do have Jazz tents though

Ok thank you. I only went 1 time before and I didn't buy the ticket/s so I don't know how it works.

guess I’ll be the only one that isn’t impressed with that lineup.
Bunche the first 3 rows are all pretty legit headlining-types.

I like it just because there's something for everybody. A nice mix of genres.
We'll probably make a tip down for it. All in the first weekend:
Stevie Nicks
Kings of Leon
Jon Batiste
Tyler Childers
Nas
Jason Isbell
Isley Brothers
The Revivalists
Sean Paul
Not a Rod Stewart fan but I guess I'd listen from the back in a lounge chair.
Second weekend has The Black Keys and Alabama Shakes but I've already seen both of those. The Black Keys are crazy good live.

Agreed. Tedeschi Trucks, Widespread, and Tab Benoit are also great live. I've been to many of their shows and they rarely disappoint.
Excited to see Little Feat. I've watched many of their older shows online/nugs. Hiromi should put on a really good show as well. She's a prominent jazz composer/pianist out of Japan.
Also love this year's poster.

The olden days used to be so much more simple. All you needed to see was "Ani DiFranco" listed in a girl's AOL profile to know to stay away.

If you are a fan of guitar, you have to see Vieux Farka Toure.
Good to see GIVERS still at it.
All-in-all, a solid line-up. I may have to make the trip down for a weekend.

When do they drop the exact dates each artist is performing?

May be a few weeks. If you are interested in an artist, go to their website and it might list the specific date.

Got ya the 3 we really wanna see are Childers, Kings of Leon and Nicks. Nicks is playing Saturday it is on her site. The other 2 acts just list the entire weekend but Childers plays in Dallas on Thursday. We would probably go 2 days do yall think they will be spread out or might I catch all 3 in a two day span?
