I love Sturgill Simpson, by it blows my mind that he pretty much filled up the Saenger and I struggled to give away my extra Isbell ticket. Sturgill had like 10x as many people. Whatever. Isbell was superb. I do think that some of his songs suffered without Amanda. I say get a replacement fiddle player when Shires is doing her thing.

Doors opened at 8, opening act went on at 9. Isbell came on about 10 if i recall correctly.
I didnt know who Josh Ritter was before the show. Seems like he was a christian rock band or something, non-secular songs and waaaayyy to happy/smiley. I wasnt a fan but I could tell a lot of people were.

I was highly disappointed in Ritter's choices. He played mostly all his new stuff which just isn't as good.
