Boland and Turnpike have the same business manager...TT actually got their start by opening for Boland. So yes, very similar fan bases.

Jason plays LA every once in awhile but not super often, I don't think.

Jason Boland is a goddamn legend.

One of the biggest draws in Texas country. His fan base is much much larger than AA and TT combined

Pearl Snaps and Truckstop Diaries are as good a debut as an Americana band can make. One of my favorite shows I've seen was Boland at River Road Icehouse one Memorial Day weekened

I would think that most people that like Turnpike and AA are also Boland fans.

He's playing in Sulphur at Wayne & Laynes this Friday night. I gotta miss it this year but went the last two year. One hell of a show!

On my short list, but tuff to do from LA/GA/NC.

I am piddling with this idea:

Crude Fest

Jason Boland, Cory Morrow, Reckless Kelly, Cody Canada ... plus two I enjoy that you not so much: Roger Creager and Rich O'toole; curious about Bleu Edmonson.

Plus a little camping my do this 'old man' some good.

I actually went on a date with Rich once...I enjoy him as a person

Been to plenty of Creager shows and have always had fun. Plus, he's a hell of a good time.

Not a fan of Bleu Edmonson...can't stand his voice. Sounds like he gargles with glass shards.

Crude Fest is fun. You should do it

We spoke with Jason after a show at the Texas Club a few years ago and he said they don't play much in LA because they just don't draw well here. He also said they don't draw well east of here, so they don't come through very much. It doesn't get any better than Proud Souls!!

Hands down my favorite Boland song. The fiddle at the beginning gives me goosebumps.

Boland tour dates

He's playing a bar grand opening downtown tomorrow night, I think I'm going to go. It's been awhile since I've seen Boland.
