If Jim Morrison had lived...

Would The Doors have continued producing new stuff? Even if there was conflict at the time, maybe they could have made more years later?

considering he is alive and living in Mexico with Elvis I think we have our answer

Robby Krieger played with Creed at Woodstock 99 and he wore an Undertaker wrestling t-shirt, that was cool.

I think it wouldn’t have been pretty. At his core he was an alcoholic who dabbled in anything else. He would have aged terribly and they’d have broken up.
He never seemed ok with fame and they were HUGE by the time he died.
Would have been awesome to see though. 50 years old or so doing MTV Unplugged like Clapton and Neil Young.

The only reason people still talk about the Doors is because he died at 27.

Negative. LA Woman is greatness. The RnR death club does add to it. But they truly were a good and at times great band.

He would have a hard time stuffing his beer gut in those leather pants

He did. I met him in Paris about a decade ago. He looked kinda rough with one of his eyes being kinda messed up. I kid...kind of. I met a dude, and he reminded me of an aged Lizard King. Mr. Mojo risin - from the grave.

Agree. They were still awesome at the end. Would love to hear what could come after that album.

Robby Kreiger played with Widespread Panic at the Wiltern Theater in LA in 2001 and played Stop Breakin Down Blues and Light My Fire. JB ruled those vocals. ‘‘Twas the heat.

Hunter Thompson said that when Morrison felt like it, the Doors could walk with the big boys.

I really have nothing to add to this thread other than to say that imo, Ray Manzarek had the most perfect voice I've ever heard.
His pitch, his tone, the accent, or in his case, lack of accent as he was from Chicago.
A sample if you so please.

He’d be performing on the casino circuit, along with CCR(evisited) and Three Dog Night.

I wanted to share something I emailed my dad after he griped about being dragged to see Jim Morrison's grave in Paris:
As much as we love Forrest Gump's retelling of that (60s) era, it's The Doors that got more airplay than any other band on the soundtrack.
While any artist or band was lucky to land just one spot in the movie, The Doors had six songs of theirs heard. Only one other artist had multiple songs — Jimi Hendricks, with two.

Did he subsequently gripe about how you spelled Hendrix?

Anybody who read the book will know, the whole soundtrack should have been Roger Miller songs.

This is very cynical and very likely how it would’ve played out.

The Doors and LA Woman are classic albums.
