I don't know how other people decide what they love or like, but sometimes I do things that other people like and makes them happy.

You need to be a member of The Nashville Songwriters Association, they have 2 online pitches like this each month for 40 people ( your computer connection better be fast) and 2 in person pitches ( I-65N becomes like MadMax. on those days).

You can pay monthly. I think it's less than 20 bucks.
I think you would enjoy it Bob.
It's worth it just for meeting beautiful women. They are everywhere on Music Row( not Broadway or that other tourist crap) and they love a guitar player, trouble is.. every guy is a guitar player..

You only need 1 song to get started. You might embark on a new journey, learning to get invited through locked doors.
When I start getting into Nashville coming up 65 from the south, stay to the left at the splits then get over right fast for Demonbreun exit through the merge. I've got "Secret Agent Man:" going through my brain.
It's really fun stuff to me.

The demo market? The publishers are always going to need songs for artists to sing. The songwriters will just use AI instead of demo studios
It's killing the demo studios and demo musicians already. That income just went away for them. These are the same ones that play at the live venues in Nashville for the tourists at night. Most won't be able to afford to live in Nashville now.
The guitar techs and repair guys will feel it next, along with the music stores and guitar shops. The places where they eat and hangout too.
NSAI should never have started accepting AI produced demos.

As much as I hate it, I'm going to be forced to use AI to speed up my process.
The way I have always written songs will stay the same, just me playing my guitar and singing and trying different lines until I think it is close to what I want.
Up until now I would try different ways to play it. I would record and listen to all of those and decide which one seems to work best. That part takes a while. Weeks sometimes.
Using AI, I only need to record it once and change my prompts to get different versions of the song in a few minutes. I can pick the one that I think works best and do a real recording of that.

Yep, this is usually what I do to a certain extent although I'm usually just messing around. Definitely not a pro, never done anything with a song but let family hear it.
AI is great for me because I was never going to buy real demos or anything but I can still hear my song as actual music, something I'd never get otherwise because I can't sing that great and only play guitar.
I do understand your point about it crippling musicians who historically relied on that income. I do think AI will eventually lead a shift back to things that are real and human.

I hope so, and the truth is: the publishers take note of the writers that are using real musicians and singers and they appreciate it.

Does it make a real difference though? I know in this session, she took copies of several AI songs, probably human written but obviously AI produced.

I think in the long run it does.
This really isn't about pitching a hit song, it's about showing up consistently with well written songs, over and over again and sounding and being the real deal. getting your name remembered.
The goal is to get a staff writing deal so that they will schedule you to co-write with artists who need help writing some songs.
Now, that girl didn't pick up my song at that pitch, I really didn't expect her to.
I already have her bosses cell number and email and can direct dial her office extension and pitch straight to her personally. I don't want to wear that out though. I want her to keep coming across my name in different ways.
You can bet that the boss lady will review this video and will hear that song for the first time. She's never heard that one before and she may have a different take on it. That's one more time she will hear my name.
