I asked Claude why Supertramp is not in the R&R Hall of Fame.

Supertramp has never even been nominated for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, despite being eligible since the mid-1990s (bands become eligible 25 years after their first release, and their debut came out in 1970). There's no official reason given — the Hall doesn't publish why an act is passed over — but a few things come up repeatedly when people discuss the snub:
Genre bias. The Hall of Fame has a reputation for being unfriendly to prog rock, which is the genre Supertramp is most closely identified with, even though their sound blended prog with pop, jazz, and art rock. I think supertramp and little feat are the two biggest omissions and it bothers me only when the induction comes up every year.

Why are The Shaggs not in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame?

The reason is either that the HoF is BS from the getgo, or the falsetto bit in Goodbye Stranger.

Supertramp was during the Classic era of Rock n Roll. They should have been admitted.
Their music was part of a pioneering era when stereo equipment was stellar. A small room with a swollen sound system brought their musical mastery to your ears.

I just listened to the Breakfast In America record like three days ago. The R&R Hall of Fame is not a serious organization.
