How much would you pay to see a favorite band?

Not referring to The Beatles in City Park 1964, just right now. U2 tickets in Nola are $200-$300, but most people I know won't pay that. Billy Joel was just over $100 and I thought it was well worth it.

I paid $150 to see Metallica last time they came to the New Orleans Arena. I have no problem paying that again if they come to the dome next year.

Best part of liking less known prog metal bands is that the most I have spent on tickets was like $100 for full VIP and stuff.

$28.50. Double that for seats near the front. Half that for seats way in the back.
For U2 I get paid $28.50 to drink beer in the parking lot outside the stadium.

I usually start balking at about $40-50. But I almost never go to arena shows unless its a band my wife wants too see such as Radio Head. I definitely prefer small venues.

Just depends I guess. $100 is about my limit, but under the right circumstances I'd pay over $100 to see Sigur Ros or Radiohead, maybe even Phish in a festival like setting. Forget what I paid for Big Cypress but seems like it was more than $100.

Airfare, hotey/air bnb, food, party favors, actual tickets adds up... a lot

Yeah, we just paid about 500 for Paul McCartney (combined) and I'd do it every time provided the shows stay of similar quality.

Most I ever spent on tickets to a show was nye '15... $200. Normally I spend next to nothing as I usually get tickets at showtime. This was one of the 2 times its backfired so it is what it is. Only one time have I not gotten into a show that I wanted to attend. (And that was mainly for money issues at the time)

I've paid more than $100/ticket to see:
-AC/DC
-Eric Clapton
-The Eagles (twice)
-Billy Joel
-Paul McCartney
None of them were in their prime, and the seats were always nosebleeds.
Keep in mind, I'm a poor college student with limited income. However, if I had the financial means I would gladly purchase floor seats and VIP packages for one of my favorite acts (probably somewhere around $300 combined).
It's all relative to the individual's passion for the given artist and his/her income. I would never shell out that kind of money for a sporting event and some people would never do it for a concert.
I don't go on legitimate vacations so concerts are where I choose to spend my entertainment money.

I did about $380 for a pair of seats to Paul McCartney in Bossier. If he came back I'd do it again. Not sure I would pay that for anyone else. For one thing he put on the best show I've seen and I have been doing concerts since 1972. The guy was simply heads and shoulders above anyone else.

If I really want to see a show, I'll pay whatever. I've spent $500 on tickets before. I live comfortably though.
