And why would you hire him to hawk your phones or anything else?

Because he’s Mr. 305, Mr. worldwide.

Proof that majority of people lack any kind of sophistication.

I’ve wondered that myself. I guess the Latino community loves him? I dunno I can’t stand his stuff.

Best was Dr Pepper cashing in on him with the classic “ let’s have a real good time, let’s have a real good time!!”

A few years ago while we were watching him on some awards show I said to my old lady "Apparently this guy is some kind of sex symbol. Do you find him sexy?" She made a face like somebody was holding a dead rat under her nose.

Went to a party a friend of mine who's hispanic had and they were playing Pitbull all night. Not gonna lie I actually really enjoyed the music. Everyone was dancing their arse off.

I’m a metal guy, so all I’ve heard from Pitbull is whatever I occasionally catch on the radio or tv, but I kinda dig it. It’s not something I’m going to jam to or listen to on a roadtrip, but it’s good senseless fun party music.

Yeah. I feel like this is the answer to a lot of "why is (pop artist) a thing" questions.

Fun dance music has existed for a long time. Chubby Checker wasn't commenting on the human condition with The Twist. Pitbull is just another version of that.

Looking at board favorites, I like Jason Isbell, but I'd rather dance to Pitbull than Isbell, and I'm not much of a Pitbull fan.

You can say this about the majority of popular music.

He knows his niche and he does that well. He built his career on making fun party music and that's all he has ever done.

I don't think he has ever claimed to be some great lyricist or made music meant to invoke grand thought or to inspire the world.

I have never and would never listen to his music on my own. But if i was to dj a party I probably would include a couple of his hits.

Remember, Gerardo (Rico Suave) was once popular too. I would think Pit Bull's 15 minutes are about up...

It’s mindless party music. In college we Ironically played Pitbull so much that I ended up liking it.

Reminds me being at bogies
