I like the way those play and they are about the perfect thickness, but they don't stay on my thumb very well.

The guitar pick ...aka "Poor Man's Amplifier".

I like thin and medium ones with grip myself and I lose them so often I just but a big pack every year.

Same but when I do use a pick, I really like the 4mm Gravity in a classic-ish shape.

I don't know why it is buy I constantly lose my thumbpicks (Dunlop M, love those things). I've the tried the more expensive ones but I just couldn't bond with them. Picks I can keep years.

Yellow Dunlop .73mm most of the time. I use the side of the pick, not the point. I've often wondered if any other guitarists do the same.

I use plain old cheap medium Fender picks. I sand all but the tip to roughen them up because I tend to drop my pick fairly often (maybe because my fingers occasionally go numb due to my cervical fusion and carpal tunnel issues). I tried some James Hetfield picks that have little bumps for grip and also have a hole in the pick - this really helped with grip, but using those made me realize how much I move my pick around in my fingers while I play. I couldn’t do that with the super grippy picks, so I went back to my sanded cheap picks.

I find myself doing this from time to time. It helps keep me from being so heavy handed while strumming it seems. I've also only been playing guitar just shy of 2 years.

I will shut up and go back to my noob corner now

Chicken Picks, if you've never seen them. I use the "shoulder" of the Standard 2.6mm. no idea what the material is, but it's hard as a rock, lasts forever, and doesn't move around between my fingers like every other pick I've tried does.
I've always had the habit of digging in too deep on the string, slowing down my picking action. The edge taper of these has helped eliminate most of that.

I use it this way more when picking not strumming. I've played for 46 years.
