No way this show is anything above terrible.

Completely wrong. I thought Axl sounded like complete shite a few years ago, but he was a powerhouse tonight - quite shocking really. And Slash was just incredible. They played four songs in the set that were about 10 minutes long - so they weren't just cashing a check.

I rewatched a few of the videos I recorded and Axl absolutely sounded great.
Best show I've ever been to
I'd guess 22,000-28,000 in attendance

It's come full circle... they opened for the cult in '87 at the Sanger.. a couple months later they were opening for Crue at UNO

Last time I saw them was at the assembly center and I left early... I was not a big fan of the piano ballad/use your illusion era..

The missus was in NOLA for the weekend and she went... She said it was a good time..

Damn that show was amazing. Exceeded my expectations. Just relentless , electric, energy and they sounded incredible I thought. Axl is back with a vengeance and Slash has got to be the best guitar player on the planet. Duff and the additions to the band were fantastic . What a show. So glad I saw this. Loved the song selections and all I can say is Guns n Roses is my favorite rock band of all time. Yeah , they already were a hahahhahaa but sht, this was my time seeing them live and it blew me away.

Amazing.

Only disappointment . was they didn't play Patience.

Apparently you get this or Don't Cry...never both.

Thought the show sounded great and I really enjoyed it. Was pretty disappointed that they couldn't put people up top at all...oh well. Still way more people than the Arena could have held though.

It's still the best concert I've been to even though they were piss arse drunk. It was the last stop of the Electric Tour and they destroyed everything by the end of Born to be Wild finale.

Not a big fan of GnR, but I do think that Slash is a fricking beast.

That show was worth every penny that they charged for tickets. Strong performance and tight as frick. It was better this time around than the last time they made a trip to New Orleans. IMO.

Any chance Axl was lip syncing or at least using backing tracks? He sounded too good.

The sound in the dome was incredible, better than just about any club show I've been to. I don't go to festivals so this was the biggest show I've seen.

I was expecting this to be the Axl, Slash, and Duff show with the rest of the band hiding in the shadows. Good to see them all get some screen time. Richard Fortus especially was given plenty chances to shine and he killed it.

I'm too familiar with the Chinese Democracy songs but they all sounded great. Axl sounded better on Better live than on the album. I haven't listened to either of the UYIs and was reminded how great those albums are. I might have to revisit them too.

Not a chance. He'd have to be lip syncing the ACDC shows too where he also sounded amazing. If you watch enough footage on YouTube, you can see it is 100 percent him. I think the biggest reason he is sounding so good is the fact that he has lost a ton of weight from a few years ago. He has also been working with his vocal coach from the UYI era.

He seems like the type of perfectionist to want to do everything himself. I think the backing vocals from Duff and Melissa Reece helped too. His voice was starting to go out during Paradise City but I'll cut him some slack considering it was at the end of a 2 1/2 hour performance.

Floor was full, as was club and plaza. No one in terrace.
Then nothing behind the stage. I mean it's just a guess. Maybe there was 30k but I'd think that might be pushing it

Must be a NOLA thing, as the numbers have been big elsewhere. It actually seems probable that NOLA is the smallest city they'll play on this tour. It's kind of cool how NOLA punches above its weight in terms of cred and visibility.

Kansas City had about 27,000 and that was considered a disappointment. New Orleans had to be less than that.

Yeah, KC has at least 2X the population. That is a dismal number.

Best concert I've ever attended. Worth every penny I spent to sit on the 2nd row. Axl's voice was so damn incredible and shockingly great. And as far as Slash...that man is just ridiculous. His Godfather theme solo blew me away. Overall, the amount of energy and talent on that stage was something special to see in person.

They are playing Jerry World in Arlington Wednesday.

If they only have 25-30K there, it's going to look like they are playing to an empty arena.

Crowd size seemed fine to me. Probably around 30,000?

I think a lot of music fans today are put off by the giant stadium shows. Are there any modern day rock acts that are selling out 50,000+ seat arenas these days?
