If there is one I like, I'll run it over and over like 300 times until I'm tired of it. Current song in the hopper- I Don't Wanna Dance by Glass Animals

Yeah, usually by performing it over and over in a cover band until I don’t want to hear it any more.

Speaking of Glass Animals...I used to listen to this one for a long time on a chill play list I had to go to sleep at night .. it was months before I actually looked up who song it was.

SiriusXM has tried to ruin a few for me, but luckily I very rarely am in the car anymore...

Don't get me started. They think Dinosaur Jr., Lemonheads and Meat Puppets each only have one song.

Usually, it's bands/albums for me. I loved all of the Seattle bands in the early 90s, but I'm still burned out on them and probably haven't intentionally listened to any of them in around 20 years.

Then there are all of these songs from the late 70s/early 80s that have never gotten old.

This, but usually by butchering the lyrics. There’s something in my brain that just doesn’t let me memorize lyrics/quotes properly. I get just enough of it correct that you know what I’m getting at, but never perfect.

I saw Eric Burden in the late 90s. The band started playing the opening notes of The House of the Rising Sun and he walked up to the mic and said, "I hate this fricking song."

It’s a real short trip from “hey this would be a cool song to learn and stick on the setlist” to “do we really have to fricking play this again?”

Anyone who has been stuck in a 15 minute long “jam” version of Proud Mary or Hard to Handle for the sake of the dance floor knows exactly what I’m talking about.

Mustang Sally

I learned the hard way that drunk 50 year old white women can scream “ride, sally ride!” for a lot longer than my fingers can play.

Don’t Stop Believin’ is probably the only thing that tops it.
