While I'm not too crazy about Deftones, I really like Gojira. Once again, Louisiana doesn't get a date

man i love deftones on record but they are not very good live. that overproduced sound in the studio is very hard to replicate in a live setting

This is true. The last two times I've seen Deftones have been boring. I think I'm done with them unless they're opening for someone good or have reasonably priced tickets.

Deftones just aren't very good. Chinos constant moaning and whining into the microphone is terrible. (Except for a handful of songs on white pony and around the fur)

Boring the exact word that I use to describe Deftones live. I have seen them twice, and the crowd never had any energy or excitement; it was awful.
Gojira is intense, and will probably steal the show. In my opinion, Deftones will have a hard time following their performance.

Ya'll are nuts. The Deftones Orpheum show in NOLA a few years ago was legit.
Will be in DC for this tour and already got tickets to The Anthem show.

WTF? Deftones have played New Orleans on every tour and sometimes two shows. Doesn’t make sense that they skip it.

I saw them play at Soul Kitchen in Mobile, one of the best live shows I’ve ever seen.

Don't know what happened at the shows that guys are saying were boring. I saw them at the Varsity a few years ago, and it was an excellent show. My only complaint was that practically everyone in the crowd was holding their cell phones up to video for practically the entire show. I really don't get this. So, you're going to watch the show later on your phone? Why not watch it now, live, instead?

Scored my 2 Atlanta tickets this morning with the livenation presale. All the pit tickets were gone already, must’ve gotten eaten up by the Citicard presale people. I ended up getting pretty close stage left. Really excited to see Gojira live for the first time.
