Never understood why he and the FF get so much hate. He’s an awesome musician and great personality.

Foo Fighters was the last great rock and roll band and Dave Grohl is the last great rock and roll star.

He's almost up there with David Lee Roth.

Dave Grohl comes across as being a great cool guy, and Foo Fighters have made some really good songs.
But man, he's the best heavy metal/hard rock drummer on Earth. (You wanna argue with me? Listen to "Scentless Apprentice" or "Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle") I wish he would have joined QOTSA full-time and made Foo Fighters a part-time thing.

Years a go I read a story where he was a misfit in nirvana.

They say he was the cool sorta skater kid or whatever in a band filled with depressed, disaffected, angst ridden, non-pussy getting bandmates.

I think that may have been how Courtney Love described him.

Nothing about them offends me, but they were pretty much MOR modern rock. Kinda hard rock for the masses. It doesn't help that he's been part of at least 4 albums better than any FF album.

Nothing at all against Dave and he's very good at what he does but there's been nothing new or interesting about Foo Fighters in over 20 years. Very bland corporate rock.

I've listened to those songs and I still want to argue.

Look I love grohl but he honestly is an overrated drummer. Plays the drums hard and loud but besides that he is mediocre

I don’t know, the first Foo Fighters album is pretty fricking badass. It had a really unique, odd sound that is nothing like the rest of their catalog. I owned their second album, and it had some standout songs, but it was much more arena rock than the first one. I never bought any of their others as they kind of lost interest for me after that point. But that first album is still solid today.

He's the 2000s version of the late 1980s Jon Bonjovi.
