I've never really posted here so sorry if this is a repetitive thread but I thought it could be fun while stuck at home. I'm teleworking, homeschooling my kids, and listening to music all day anyway.
I'll lead with this.

I presume you don't want the standard Hendrix/Watchtower replies?
I think we'd better declare Dylan off-limits, just to save space
"Wild Thing"
The Wild Ones (original)
Troggs

Van Helen's rendition of Pretty Woman is much better than Roy Orbison's original.

Molly Hatchet's version of "Dreams I'll Never See" by Greg Allman...completely different arrangement.

I lean toward the Troggs on this one but I do like the Hendrix version as well.

Joe Cocker on With a Little Help From My Friends
This video is the Woodstock live performance in 1969. Shows Cocker at his drugged out, spastic moving best.

But then there are gems like these:
NIN - Get Down Make Love (Queen)
Concrete Blonde - Everybody Knows (Cohen)
Concrete Blonde - Simple Twist of Fate (Dylan)
That STOF by CB is superb. Jonnete Napolitano brings so much emotion to it. Truly incredible stuff
