In April in Meridian, MS. Obviously it would be a bucket list thing. But just wondering how he is a live at this point? And masks are required “per artists request”. So there’s that extra hassle as well though I don’t know if it will be enforced as no one wears a mask in MS anymore

If you want to go just to be able to say you saw a legend perform live, than yes. Otherwise, hell no. What limited voice he once had is well since gone, and you'll have a hard time recognizing any of the songs he performs.
I saw Miles Davis once - but, it was toward the end of his career and it was obvious that he was long beyond his best moments. Overall, I'm still glad I went just to be able to say that I did.

Check out any concert review on him in the last 30 years from critics & fans. Spoiler Alert. It’s not good.

Saw him a few years ago. I can say that I did, so I don't mind the price of entry.

He re-arranges all of his songs so they are very difficult to recognize and his voice sounds like a bullfrog gargling with glass. The band was rock solid, but I generally had no idea what they were playing. It was a very low energy show, as well.

Just really have never understood the appeal of Dylan. The voice is annoying as hell and the lyrics to many of his songs are just stupid. I don’t find him nearly as profound as Baby Boomers apparently did.

I attended his concert a couple of years ago in Asheville - no performance whatsoever. He came out, sang his repertoire of songs and then left. No acknowledgment of the audience at all.

I love Bob but he was terrible 15-20 years ago so I can't imagine how bad it is now

Go see Macca if you want to see a legend who is still capable of performing at a relatively high level.

There was already a discussion about Dylan pretty recently.
Read the link below and I assure that you will make your decision when you finish reading the whole thread. Good luck.

He might be. He might not be. It depends on the night. I've seen him once and I caught a pretty good night but that was also about 20 years ago. There is one thing I can guarantee. You might get good Dylan, you might get bad Dylan but you will definitely not get chatty and gabby with the audience Dylan. The night I saw him he didn't even so much as introduce anyone in his band. It was just play this song now play this song, now play this song. No banter whatsoever. Only musician/singer I've ever seen live who made no effort at all to make any connection with his audience.

Like others have said, it depends on the night. He can be either really good or really bad.

I saw him back in 2015 in New Orleans and he sounded great, he didn't change around melodies too much, and he even stopped a couple of times to thank the audience and say he was having a good time.

If anything, go if you've never been before to say you saw Bob Dylan live.

This is right.
I saw him 30 years ago. Boring show. No interaction with the crowd at all.
Very forgettable.

As mentioned in the earlier thread that was linked above, there is no "good dylan" anymore. That was the case 10 years ago I can't even fathom how much worse he'd be now in 2022.

WHAT A WASTE OF MONEY

What a disaster it was last night at The Beacon. Please save your money. Terrible show. His voice was off and the band was way not as good as I remember. I barely knew 3 songs, my girlfriend one song. You suck Bob !

There are still plenty of fans that are pissed he ever picked up the electric guitar.
