My early years were treated to albums like:

Yessongs
Rush - Exit Stage Left
AC/DC - If You Want Blood You've Got It
UFO - Strangers in the Night
The Kinks - One for the Road
Cheap Trick at Budokan
Frampton Comes Alive
etc.

How do you pick just one? It was a golden age for live albums.

The Who-Live at Leeds

When this first came out I thought it was the best live album I had ever heard. I have not changed my mind. Just a mind blowing show.

What's great about this album is many songs are quite different from their studio versions: "What Goes On" has an extended organ workout; "Ocean" has an extended coda; "New Age" has different lyrics; and "Sweet Jane" is the gorgeous "Heavenly wine and roses" version.
