LOVE the blues in their early music
Personally, my favorite blues number of theirs is Tea for One.
Also a huge fan of Since I've Been Loving You and The Lemon Song.

Love the diversity of this thread. Just goes to show how great Zep was.
Amen. So many different sounds. The only songs that sound remotely similar to one another are "Since I've Been Loving You" and "Tea for One".. and some say that "Tea for One" is actually a continuation from the story in "Since I've Been Loving You", so that makes sense.
You have the fast-paced, galvanizing hard rock numbers like "Immigrant Song," early shades of punk rock in "Communication Breakdown," ten-minute epics such as "Kashmir," the reggae-inspired, "D'yer Ma'ker," and soothing, mystical tales like "Going to California."
For me, this is why they are the GOAT.

So the greatest band of all time is one that blatantly ripped off several blues artists?

I love Led Zeppelin, but feel they are a bit overrated. This especially holds true to their live performances. Jimmy Page trying to use a violin bow on a guitar is fricking retarded and sounds like shite. I do wish he played more slide though. He kills "In My Time of Dying" on that one DVD.

Their live performances were much better during their early years, when Plant could still hit the high notes and before Page was pumped full of heroin.
ETA: Agree with you on the slide... In My Time of Dying is one of my favorite songs.

My buddy plays guitar. When we embibe he will take requests. I always shout out this. Which is met with "Fah-Q".

This one?
They absolutely slay Whole Lotta Love in the Knebworth show.
Also, I don't give much credence to Pitchfork reviews, but I loved this line from the write up on IV:

That's a solid top 5.. particularly #5.. the entire BBC sessions album is money.. I really enjoy that version of "Thank You" and the 15-minute "Whole Lotta Love" medley.

When the Levee Breaks is my favorite.
Ramble On and Babe I'm Gonna Leave You are the ones I love to dance to.
Bron-Y-Aur Stomp and Living Loving Maid are just fun songs.
Immigrant Song is one of my moms favorites.
