I feel like there are not a lot of people know who are familiar with them. When I discovered Pavement, I realized how lacking every thing else I had been listing to was.

If you are not enlightened, download immediately.

I absolutely love Pavement. Slanted and Enchanted is one of the greatest albums ever recorded.

A-hoy!

You oughta check out Silver Jews if you like Pavement. Steve Malkmus played with the Jews for a while before Pavement took off. They're like a folksier version of Pavement, with a worse singer but phenomenal lyrics. Seriously, the best lyrics I've ever heard.

Back on topic:
Crooked Rain is awesome.

Also, check out Malmus' newer band, The Jicks.

I'm a Spiral Stairs man myself. Check out the Preston School of Industry.

Or just listen to Wowee Zowee again. Either way.

One of my favorite bands ever
Slanted and enchanted and crooked rain are 2 of the best records of all time. Check out the 2 disc reissues if you haven't some real gems in there.

All of their albums are good, though may favs are the "Watery, Domestic" EP and "Wowee Zowee". I've seen them live six times, and the Jicks once. All good shows!

I could listen to the entire Crooked Rain album on repeat for the rest of my life.

Cut Your Hair is one of my favorite songs ever, yet I haven't found another song from them I like.

My favorite sond would have to be Unfair. But I love Slanted & Enchanted and Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain so much.

Stephen Malkmus' new band The Jicks are pretty good too.

What about the voice of Geddy Lee?
How did it get so high?
I wonder if he speaks like an ordinary guy.

The first song I ever heard from Pavement was from School House Rock.

LINK

I think I got it off one of my friends from Napster back in 2000. I loved the song but I never got into any of their stuff until the last 5 years. Really, listening to SM and the Jicks' Real Emotional Trash did it for me. That album is probably the groups best. After that, I fell in love with all of Stephen Malkmus's work. He's a great songwriter.

I think I'm one of the few that thinks Terror Twilight is one of their best. The last song is just perfect.

that is a rare choice but with Pavement, there really is no wrong answer. All of their albums are so close in quality, you could put them in any order. I lean towards Wowee Zowee after S&E, but Terror Twilight has Spit on a Stranger...

Huge Pavement fan, saw them many times back in the 90s... Caught them in 2010 in Portland and it was fricking fantastic!!

Slanted is my favorite...

but pound for pound, Watery, Domestic EP may be the best!

I never was able to see pavement in the 90's when they were active. I was too young :( . Fortunately I saw them in 2010 when they did the reunion tour. They played all of their best stuff. Such a good show.
