Not sure how I could have gotten through a night working at Murphey's without it.

I missed the saenger (damn) but have seen them 9 times including the 2 shows at the varsity in '01. Great every time live.

That was 1992. It was their Ceremony Tour.

Greatest party album of the 80's.

talk about an awesome year or two for music - the late 80s (1987 to be exact). Electric; Life's Rich Paegant; Kiss Me, Kiss Me, Kiss Me; Substance; Echo/Bunnymen; music for the masses; boylan heights; strangeaways here we come/louder than bombs; big plans for everybody; etc...there was so much good, fun music being put out at that time.

First date with who would become future wife. Coming up on 25 this year.

Was at the show with Kravitz too, and did the same thing an earlier poster said about opening for Metallica in Biloxi. Left as soon as they come on.

Your obsession with The Cult is bordering on dangerous.

...much like me and The Mission UK.

That being said, Electric was my first exposure to The Cult. Wow...what great memories.
Listening to it now at work, just for you, man.

Saw them in N.O. on the '92 Ceremony Tour, and both Varsity shows in 2001.

I had heard that they enjoyed the Varsity concert so much in BR, that when they had a cancellation later on that year, they inquired about returning to the Varsity for a 2nd show.

They rock... and thanks to Cdawg for lining up my music for the week. All Cult, all day, all week

I saw the Cult w/ Metallica in Houston at the Summit. I did hang around and watch Metallica though. I think Bonham, Jason Bonham's band, was the first act. Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols played with The Cult on the last song. Steve Jones was just releasing a new album Fire and Gasoline which Ian Astbury produced. Also had Billy Duffy on a couple of tracks and Axl Rose and Ian did some backing vocals.

Meant to respond to this.
Start around the 19:00 mark.
LINK

basically saying Ian heard the Beasties and wanted to get in touch with Rick Rubin and use him on Electric.

Here is my most coveted Cult 12 inch single.

HERE COMES THE (RAIN) 12" EXTENDED MIX

This mix is much better than the album version IMO.

Yeah that is hands down the best Cult remix but since this is about Electric. These two were my favorite off Electric.

Wildflower(guitar dub)

Wildflower (extended mix)
What's great about the above one is it's off actual vinyl. They way I remember it. the crackling and hiss.
