And again, none of you guys have answered my other important question.

Whenever I do come across someone who DOES seem to fit more into what I'm looking for, how do I meet the guy? I'm visually impaired and therefore can't drive. This means that the person interested has to come to my parent's place, or I'd have to have them drive to place of the person interested.

"try the craigslist personals
type in M4M"

Tried that, I HAVE had NO luck. In fact, I'm TRYING to escape the crappy site called Craigslist.

And STOP typifying everything. NOT everybody I'm looking for is going to be some gay guy! The guy I'm looking for might even be a straight guy who's priority is NOT even sex or a boyfriend! Think of that before you post CRAP!

If you're really serious, there's an informal jam session, all original musicianship from different genres, who get together at Baton Rouge Music Studio most sundays from 1-4 in the afternoon. The coffee place on jefferson near government also does an open mic on sunday evenings around 6. There's also blues jams on wednesday and thursday at Huey's and Phill Brady's, but they're more rock and blues oriented. There's also multiple baton rouge facebook groups for musicians that are free to join. Posting in those can get you a lot more potential musicians than posting here. Uber is great for meeting them or having them meet you. Guitar Center is a safe neutral spot as well.

What are some of the smaller music Facebook groups? I'm willing to try one, but I want to join one that's a small loving community. Not one that's aimed at those who actively work in the industry.

Also is there any rock and pop jam sessions going on on other days. Sunday should be the day people relax at home. Not go out to bars and stuff.

"Uber is great for meeting them or having them meet you"

Ugh! Why is everybody clamoring for me to use Uber, when I CAN'T use that service? I need a smartphone to use that, and HELLO, I've already got my parents who could take me.

There's just the matter of knowing WHERE this Baton Rouge Music Studio is and whether it's close enough to the Round Oak Subdivision. Everybody who has recommended places for me to go to meet some like-minded musicians around my age, keeps recommending places that take 45 minutes or longer to get to, rather than 10 or 20 minutes to get to.

I need more information about what those places offer, and WHERE in Baton Rouge those places are. And I also need to know if that's near the Round Oak Subdivision. Something that's convienent where my parents can simply drop me off, and then let me do my thing, and then pick me up when I'm done.

Stop just throwing stuff out on a whim. Tell me about the place, and share your experience about the place.

"Guitar Center is a safe neutral spot as well."

Tried Guitar Center several times in the past, and several months this year. I have reached NO ONE! Except for some weird Cajun dude named John Herbert who wasn't even from Baton Rouge, and didn't even have proper internet. I had to let him go.

Also I said SMALL groups. Those groups are WAY too overwhelming and have WAY too many members. And they discuss ONLY music related things. The people who use those groups are those who are highly important members of the musician community.

I'm trying to reach the smaller guys who merely have a part-time job at Wal-Mart, Best Buy, or some other retail job, or who take a few general studies college courses at BRCC or LSU, and who just happen to play some music in their bedroom.

I'm not looking for the guys who are active at open mics, or who frequent music stores, or who play in highly important bands in the BR area.

And again, where are all the fellow keyboard players? Or the ones who play keyboard AND guitar?

I keep coming across those who play just guitar, and who are very snobbish musicians who follow some weird rule that states playing guitar will get you laid, while playing keyboard doesn't.

Why is that even a thing? Where are those who aren't worred about that kind of thing, and who are talented keyboard or guitar players, who have a passion for good music, and also like me, have a good solid understanding of music theory knowledge.

You sound like a whiny a-hole. Why would anyone want to play with you? Post some of your music so we can determine if you're worth jamming with.

But again, I'm looking for a few LONG term GUY friends around my age who I can get together and jam with. Maybe we'll start a band, maybe it'll be individual solo artist collabs. I don't care about all the details.

The idea here is that I just want to have fun hanging out with friends.

"Post some of your music so we can determine if you're worth jamming with."

I did. There should be a link in an earlier post. It should link you to a video called "Whataya Want From Me".

That's the ONLY video I have.

And by the way, the person who's interested needs to do the same and post some samples, so I can get an idea of the person's playing style, and what the person plays, and where the person stands musically.

And the person needs to be someone who approaches me as someone who doesn't already have any music buddies to jam with, and is merely looking for a friend.

I am NOT trying to reach any of these egotistical and elitst types.

And before you show that you are interested. You need to make sure that you live HERE in Baton Rouge, that way it's easiest for the person interested to come to me and vice versa.

The point of this search is to just have fun, help each other learn some new skills, this includes songwriting, music recording, recreating some varietal pop songs, which includes some synth ballads, and synth pop songs. But also leave room for playing some video games, and just doing what most sensible young adult guys do together.
