Ace Frehley having a good old fashioned meltdown on Facebook

Apparently, Gene Simmons made some scathing remarks about Ace Frehley in the current issue of Guitar World magazine. So, two nights before the start of Kiss' "End Of The Road" tour, Frehley fired back on Facebook, and it's been picked up by not just music sites, but news sites as well. Here's the post:

…Gene, your memory is really incorrect!…I was NEVER FIRED from KISS, I quit twice (not 3-times) of my own free will, because you and Paul are control freaks, untrustworthy and were too difficult to work with!
…Your slanderous remarks about my bad habits over the years has cost me millions of dollars and now that I’m over 12-years sober you're still saying I can’t be trusted to play a whole nights show! Well that’s exactly what I’ve been doing for the last 12-years with different configurations of “The Ace Frehley Band” to you and Paul’s dismay!
…I’m also the most successful solo artist to come out of the original KISS lineup , and proud of it!…You and Paul have tried to derail my solo career multiple times over the years unsuccessfully.
…I’ve tried to be nice and friendly by inviting you and Paul to perform on my past albums for eOne Music, give each of you guys one of my prized Gibson Les Paul 59’ models, but today’s comments have made me realize you’re just an a-hole and a sex addict who’s being sued by multiple Women, and you’re just trying to sweep it all under the carpet!
…The icing on the cake was when you groped my wife and propositioned her in Los Angeles at the Capitol Records building behind my back, when I was trying to help you out at one of your “Vault Experiences” which I only found out about several weeks later…she was planning on pursuing a suit against you, but I told her to call it off!!!
…Well now the gloves are off after your terrible comments today and I’m thinking that this really may be “The End Of The Road Tour” for you guys!!!
….Without a complete and heartfelt apology, an offer to give me my old job back, and removing Tommy from the Throne that I created… THE shite WILL HIT THE FAN AND THEY’LL BE NO STOPPING IT-IT’S ON!!!
TBH, if he had left out the final paragraph, I'm sure 99% of the people reading it would've nodded their heads in silent approval...but by leaving it in, he comes off as a contradicting lunatic. I think it's safe to say he burned that bridge down

There's some speculation that maybe Ace's girlfriend penned that message, but since he hasn't taken it down from his page, he must be on board with it. Why do people think his GF wrote it? Because she's been on the warpath since, posting some batshit stuff like this...this is a post on her own FB page:

They tried to have Ace killed in the 70’s. Tried sending him to a so called ‘private party’ in the Bahamas.
Ace is VERY sober now and knows what’s happening.
He sees things clearly now.
He doesn’t need a chain of low brow restaurants; he plays the guitar. That’s what he does.

I have to admit that when I was a kid I idolized Gene Simmons. Now that I’ve been an adult for many years I’ve come to see him for what he really is....a self absorbed, greedy and morally bankrupt a-hole. That prick worships the almighty dollar and I would venture to say that he would gladly sell out his own mother to make a buck.
That being said, and by the same token, I highly respect his business acumen and ability to turn whatever he touches into gold. After all, how could a person as butt ugly as him successfully market himself in both the business world and with chicks? I’m sure many of the girls he’s banged had to turn their heads and hold their noses just to say they rolled in the hay with Gene Simmons.
On the other side of the coin, I’ve also heard and read a lot of repugnant shite about Ace Frehley’s drug binges, lack of work ethic and golden missed opportunities because of the above.
The public will probably never know the whole truth but as a spectator, it’s really entertaining to read all this crap about a bunch of pampered 60+ year old adolescents.

I respect nothing about him as a person or a businessman... he is a repugnant human being..
I worshipped Kiss in the 70s, with Ace Frehley being my favorite... I can still enjoy some of those 70s era tunes on their own, but have no time for the carnival act they've become over the last few decades..

Agree with most of what you're saying, except I think his reputation as a great businessman is pure myth. Great huckster for Kiss products? You betcha. Great businessman? I wouldn't let him run my 11 year old daughter's lemonade stand, never mind an actual business.
There's a video floating around on YouTube of Gene having a 30-minute debate with Bob Lefsetz about the music and record business. For about the first 3-5 minutes, Gene seemed to be holding his own, but only until he'd exhausted all his usual recycled talking points...the next 25 minutes, Lefsetz exposed him as the buffoon he really is. The debate took place at the same time Gene was relaunching Simmons Records, and based on his answers in the debate, it's no surprise the company folded shortly after.

My first thought was Ace's girlfriend might've wrote it. Too many exclamation points, and not a single "at this juncture" was said
