They finally got it right- Hank Jr gets in. About 30 years late, but he's finally in. Dean Dillion and Marty Stuart are the other 2 members of the class.

So glad Bocephus finally made it. Should have been many years ago.
Good class too. Marty and Dean are both really deserving.

Florida Georgia Line gets in next year.

Damn shame it’s taken this long for JR.

Didn't he sing about this a few years ago?

Still no John Conlee! This is a damn conspiracy! But, those are three great choices.

Unfortunately, they did the same with Charlie Daniels. The HOF, much like the country music industry as a whole, is filled with yankees and pencil pushers that wouldn't know real country music if it hit them directly in their pretentious faces.

If they have a contributor / historian entry, Stuart could get in twice.
Just as a musician, a multi-instrumentalist who played in bands fronted by Lester Flatt and Johnny Cash. His own respectable career. Married to Connie Smith and is the best preserver of country history going.

Good for Marty. Keep on a-twangin’.

Absolutely ridiculous that Hank Jr. waited so long, but here are some surprising non- HOFs:
Tanya Tucker - How is this possible?
Travis Tritt
Dwight Yoakum
Keith Whitley
Clint Black

I'm not sure what the criteria is but there's not too many questionable names in the HOF
It's hard to believe how many years there was only one artist added.

Marty has a great story. Started touring with Lester Flatt when he was 13 years old...because he was just that damn good. Most kids would've been swept up in the limelight, but Marty always had an appreciation for the music and the artists who made it. I knew his cousin, and she shared a lot of stories about him.
Extremely talented, and just a good old small town boy. Happy to talk to anyone that approached him.
But his biggest impact in the long run will be that he understood the music industry, and appreciated the art associated with country music and wanted to preserve items as the genre changed over time. He's collected memorabilia for years that would've otherwise been lost to the winds of time.
He's country music's version of the Smithsonian. Congrats to him.

I’m pretty blown away that Keith Whitley still isn’t in. He had a huge exhibit there this year but he isn’t in? Lol, ok
Glad Hank Jr got in. Id also like to see Tanya Tucker and Jerry Lee Lewis get in

I hope Hank Jr gets wasted and tells them to eff off.

Agree. It is clearly challenging to get into the Country HOF. It sure makes the Rock & Roll HOF look like the joke it is. Many artists in the R&R HOF never played R&R!

Old guard Nashville record company politics if I had my guess. I think he made a few enemies back in the 70's/80's.
I could be wrong, but this is what I suspect.
I agree with others, he should have been there a LONG time ago.
