Cast Christina Hendricks or some other redhead in her 40s as Sarah Gordon. Problem solved.

Zoe is hot and kinda has the Selina Kyle facial structure. Get her on a training program and she’d be even hitter with some lean muscle.

No real issue. More worried if she can pull of Selina in the acting sense.

Serious question, if a fictional character who’s race is not a central part of their character (Moana, chick from Brave, Black Panther, Milan etc...) being portrayed by minority angers you… How can you possibly say that you aren’t racist?

I’m ok with this. I like her in the Fantastic Beasts movies - very sexy looking.

Lol hell no. Emilia Clarke doesn't look like street trash. Plus Emilia Clarke actually has tits.

Typical poop swastika. I don't agree with something so I must be racist.

Typical redneck shithead.

Please tell us what makes Kravitz street trash? The barely noticeable tattoos on her forearm? Or the fact she has tats, is black, and rocks dreads?

I don’t think your pint sized brain knows what actual street trash is.

I'll take a shot at it.

If you grew up with a white Captain Powerful, and your childhood was filled with Captain Powerful comics and cartoons, your hope for a modern live action Captain Powerful movie would be that the character from your childhood is brought to life.

Changing the race of the character immediately alters the movie so that it's no longer the character from your childhood.

That being said, the ship for this sailed years ago. We've had Eartha Kitts and Billy D. Williamses for decades and race swap characters are no longer a shock. At this juncture "colorblind casting" is just standard operating procedure.

It's like getting upset that every sitcom has a non-white character these days. It's the new norm. It's not worth getting upset.

I think it also matters on the who and how for race changing or even mantle changing.

No one really accepts Tim Drake can or will replace Batman.

Dick Grayson has in several continuities and we've accepted.

And that's with fictional white guys.

Throw in race and it gets all the above.

Agreed. I cant think of an occasion this has happened to me but i'm with you, that could be frustrating. I guess if they remade Rugrats and Tommy was black, that would be annoying as hell.

Exactly. There are plenty of people that their first memory of Catwoman was Kitts and Hallie Berry. And I dont know many people, especially guys, and im %100 sure this guy isnt one of them, that had Catwoman as their childhood hero.

Julie Newmar was the separation point for the straight and gay little boys of my generation. That was the "okay, turns out I do like girls, and I like them a LOT" moment for us.

Now, when Meriwether and Kitt showed up, I didn't get pissed. I just knew they were fill-ins for Newmar.

And my wife's childhood hero was Julie Newmar's Catwoman, which is one of the many reasons that I married her.

I'm assuming she's the daughter of Lenny and the Cosby woman? My goodness, she's like one of those computer generated mixes of two people.

No doubt who her parents are, that's for sure!

Does she still work the whip and catsuit?

Had a girlfriend back in the day that did the BTAS gray and black costume and that was a fun time.

God bless cosplayers

Lisa Bonet. Both Lenny and Lisa are mixed with each having a Jewish parent.

Her showbiz family tree is pretty diverse.

Daughter of Denise Huxtable and Lenny Kravitz
Stepdaughter of Aquaman
Granddaughter of Helen Willis on The Jeffersons
Cousins (twice removed) with Al Roker

And her dad was engaged to Nicole Kidman. If that had gone through, she'd be the stepdaughter of both Aquaman and Aquaman's Mother Atlanna.
