What am I thinking? How can I not mention E.T.?

Take off Escape From Alcatraz and put E.T. there. Such a great movie.

Those movies sucked.

How about you hang yourself with your own testicles. You won't last here, so how about you kill youself. This is favorite film thread, not best (which by the way LotR is in the debate for), so frick offf you stupid cocksucker.

I'll think of some others as soon as I post this, but off the top of my head:

Braveheart
Pulp Fiction
(could have just as easily said Reservoir Dogs or Inglorious Basterds, but didn't want to include more than one Tarantino film)
Dial M for Murder (as with Tarantino, I could have included a number of Hitchcock films)
Rocky (1 &2)
Shawshank Redemption

Yeah, good movie, but I wouldn't put it in my top 5 Hitchcocks.

ETA: Rope is another underrated Hitchcock that you may like ifyou haven't seen it. It's actually my wife's favorite.

Actually haven't seen that. I've seen most of his collection though. Working on finishing Hitchcock Presents right now.

Same here, but we're just watching them occasionally when we have nothing else to watch. They are great fillers, and it's not like you need to remember what happened in last week's episode, so not something we're rushing to finish.

I didn't realize that he directed so few of the segments on Alfred Hitchcock Presents.

Please tell me what they are. From my reasoning, and these are forced mind you, here would be the beginning, climax, and end to each one.

That's s pretty good take on it.

Each movie has the same underlying tone/message/plot, but they each have their own climactic parts (orc battle in 1, Helm's Deep in 2, final battle in 3), and then a sort of teaser for the next film at the end. They're three separate films..I don't know what else to tell you.

Yeah that's what I'm doing too. Watch one maybe every two weeks. I thought he directed all of them, didn't know that either.
