I hated Dope and I feel like a lot of people really liked it.

Also, I abhor The Avengers.

I feel like that's what the thread is asking for. Movies we can recognize that might be good but personally dislike.

Being really depressing but good fits that bill. I feel that way about Requiem for a Dream. Watched it once, definitely a good movie. Very depressing, have no desire to ever watch it again.

Trainspotting. I get so bored with druggie movies. I’ve tried twice and I can’t get through it.

Fear and Loathing, for similar reason.

I dislike all Oliver Stone movies except Conan.

Especially:
Natural Born Killers
JFK
U-Turn
Born on the Fourth of July
The Doors

Borderline:
Scarface
Platoon

Does anyone actually think Crash is a "good" movie?

I've got some friends that claim this is one of their favorite movies but I've fallen asleep like 3 times trying to watch it.

There's a third that I'm just sick of hearing about, but naming it would completely derail this thread as really pissed-off fans descended to yell at me for not liking something they like.

I didn't really like The Fighter at all. Mainly because how it was filmed.

Also, my wife hated City of God.

It’s not a movie for a weak stomach but I can’t imagine hating it.

I really disliked the Return of the King to the point that it made me questions if I even liked the rest of the series that much.

It’s been a long time since I’ve seen any of them so maybe I’d appreciate them more as an adult but I will probably never watch them again.
