The Last Boy Scout?

If I have to choose one, I'll choose Necessary Roughness I guess. Lots mentioned are good though (Program, Rudy, Any Given Sunday, Little Giants, etc.). I also think Jerry McGuire is a solid football movie.

Here's a list of football movies:

Air Bud: Golden Receiver
All The Right Moves
Angels In The Endzone
Any Given Sunday
Best of Times, The
Brian's Song
Brian's Song
Code Breakers
Comebacks, The
Everybody's All-American
Express, The
Facing the Giants
Fighting Back
Friday Night Lights
Full Ride
Fumbleheads
Game Plan, The
Garbage Picking Field Goal Kicking…
Gridiron Gang
Halfback of Notre Dame
Heaven Can Wait
Hometown Legend
Horse Feathers
Invincible
Jerry Maguire
Jim Thorpe: All-American
Junction Boys, The
Knute Rockne All American
Last Boy Scout, The
Leatherheads
Little Giants
Longest Yard, The
Longest Yard, The
Lucas
Necessary Roughness
North Dallas Forty
Paper Lion
Possums
Program, The
Quarterback Princess
Radio
Reggie's Prayer
Remember the Titans
Replacements, The
Rudy
Second String, The
Semi-Tough
The Blind side
They Call Me Sirr
Two For The Money
Varsity Blues
Waterboy
We Are Marshall
Weapons of Mass Distraction
Wildcats
Windrunner

billy blanks = greatest player of all time
but i don't know if this falls under football movie as much as a movie with football in it.

Rudy

probably one of my faves and i hate ND. so that should tell you something about the movie/storytelling.
i swear to God everytime favreau stands up and yells "who's the wild man now" i get all emotional.

Everybody's All-American

best movie i could give two shits about once all the LSU stuff is over.

Any Given Sunday

hackman, billy bob thorton, charles s dutton, all tremble at the best speech ever in a football movie pacino =

AGS became a movie i liked more with the number of viewings i put in.

quote:

jerry maguire

Eff you the guy who created the trailer for this movie. my gf at the time got to watch tom cruise in a sappy love story and i got like 10 mins of football????!!!

friday night lights

the movie and tv series are both excellent.

quote:

the program, varsity blues, the replacements, we are marshall, invincible, titans, blindside...

all popcorn fun.

quote:

wildcats, necessary roughness

let's face it, robert loggia gave pacino a run for his money.
and wildcats was the goodness. the original pairing of harrelson and snipes.
