If you sign up for CBS all Access before March 3 and use the code paramountplus you get 50% off a year subscription.

It's not a bad deal if you enjoy some old Nickelodeon shows it even has alot of old Challenge seasons available.

Would be cool if they comped a year like D+ did. Paramount plus seems like a good platform but I don’t wanna pay for 4+ streaming services and have a cable-level bill again.

They are going to air a Real World that reunites the original New York cast called The Real World Homecoming: New York. It will have been 30 years since that first season when it airs.

Kind of crazy that RW is that old.

also, here are their plans

quote:

Limited Commercials plan
Stream over 30,000 episodes, 200+ movies, Original Series, plus live sports and news with limited commercial interruptions.

$5.99/month with a 1 week free trial
$59.99/annually with a 1 week free trial (save over 15% off the monthly price!)

Commercial Free plan
Stream all the same amazing programming that comes with the Limited Commercials plan–commercial free*! Plus, download shows and movies to watch offline.

$9.99/month with a 1 week free trial
$99.99/year with a 1 week free trial (save over 15% off the monthly price!)

LINK

Once you add the 50% discount $50 for a full year w/o commercials and $30 for a year w/commercials is a decent deal.

Sorry if this has been covered, but I have CBS All Access for free through my 247 subscription. Will this carry over to paramount+?

This link may answer your question:

247

Edit: I don't know much about 247 free CBS All Access deal. This link seems to indicate they will still honor Paramount+.

Until they try to lock you into a year-long contract, the streaming revolution is still much better than cable/satellite.

For the minimal inconvenience of logging in every month to cancel any subscription I am not currently using, I pick and choose whatever services I want to watch and drop the rest. For example, I tried CBS All Access for one month, didn't like it, and I have not bothered to pick it up again. Any given month, I probably spend less than $20 on streaming services.

HBO Max may be the first service I keep permanently.

HBO Max is the only one I keep except for hulu and netflix, still with all those 3 im paying less than $60 for some great content and comedy, etc

Hit up Disney+ off and on when they have orginal stuff on, then cancel it.

Still better than cable.

I signed up for it and applied the coupon but there is a week free trial...the billing page is a bit strange, one line shows I'll be billed $99 on March 7th. the next line says 50% off annual coupon applied, but does not show the discounted amount being charged. Anybody else seeing this?

Yeah that'd be good to know b/c for $50 I'd give the year a try. $100 not so much.

Disney + is invaluable for my youngest son.

I'd cancel Hulu but my wife watches it, and you know what, I think she pays for it too, so who cares.

Netflix is either $3 or $4 a month for the multiple screen HD plan

We get 1/2 priced prime while I am back in school and we use it for things other than streaming

Apple TV sucks, but it is free

I would like HBO, I'll probably spring for it when we move just to have access to all the new movies, and the back library ain't bad, I just watched just about everything I would want to watch already in the back library.

I would never want to go back to the old cable model, but it is frustrating sometimes when something you want to watch is on some obscure streaming service, I wanted to watch something that was only on DC's streaming service... REALLY DC needs its own service?

That’s what I was thinking when Disney plus and ESPN plus started. Sure the contracts are better but we are right back to where we started price wise if you’re paying for all the services. Typical corporations running a good thing into the ground.

I recently got HBO max as a perk with my phone plan and they have a ton of DC or at least Batman stuff. What show were you looking for?

Everyone is trying to get in the game that passed them a few years ago.

Cable companies tried - and still do - offer discount contracts that balloon afterwards. It's no different here.

Cutting the cable/streaming is simple to me - you're already paying for internet.

If you enjoy a certain stream provider, then maybe sign long-term for a discount.

Otherwise, pick and choose per month or period when you're going to watch their shows.

I personally have Hulu no ads because I like the comedies there. I have shared Netflix, because, well, Netflix.

Everything else comes and goes.

And you'll save more money in the long run. Unless you have a need for certain content, spending $60 for a year long deal could be $20 for the months you actually watch.

Thats sounded better in your head, I bet

If there are 300 streaming services, and all I watch is 3, do I care about what the other 297 are charging? That actually props up the cable complaint. I had to care about the other 297 channels, BECAUSE I WAS PAYING FOR THEM TOO. This way I'm not. No matter how many there are

DC Universe has been absorbed by HBO Max. All of their original content is there. Problem solved.
