Interesting take. I definitely didn't see it this way. I'm pretty sure this isn't the show I want to see, so it better start making a turnaround. I truly do not want Rip and Beth in Texas or on that show. They are my favorite characters and they need a happily ever after at Yellowstone.

Good summary. Its like they had the idea for a 3 season show, and then it was such a hit, they decided to stretch it to a few more seasons. So they had to come up with new (uninteresting) storylines to get more episodes. And then got away from what made it a good show in the first place.
Pretty much any scene without John, Rip, or Kayce is hard to watch.

yeah I'm beginning to wonder if they're more concerned with producing content for the streaming service and are fine letting this show die a slow death

How do we have 3 minutes of Jamie and his Dad this episode? This is what should be the entire focus of this season. The season finale set this up and we aren't getting anything about it at all.

You'll have to wait for next season to see how that turns out... Or they just may just forget the whole thing and never mention it again...

You're such a guy. She's getting happily ever after with Rip. It is possible. We see little bits of softer Beth. She can be happy with Rip.
Reading this whole Yellowstone thread has made me see just how differently men see the same show than women do. Ask any of the women fans...this is what we want. I always want my happily ever after. If I can't have that, then let Beth blow the entire place to hell!

I honestly hope they end the series after season 5. More importantly, that whenever they do end the series that they know that going into the final season so they can bring finality to it across several episodes rather than hurry in and try to rewrite a finale mid season because they got cancelled.

On a side note I have to wonder how Beth is going to save the Dutton ranch while working for the company that's trying to take it.. I mean Market Equities is supposed to be this huge company. I doubt she can makes deals against the company that go unchecked or unnoticed...

Preview for next week's episode seemed to indicate that particular conflict is coming home to roost for Beth in the next episode.
