Well, was that not on the Duttons' land?

I believe the indian told them that if we was not buried and left undisturbed, there would be no peace

Him being dug up could just be a hint at more conflict

"The human and Buffalo remains found while digging the pipeline.. could they be the remains of the Indians father to be buried during the 1883 promotion commercial?

If it is, would this be if any type of significance really?"

Yes, it's the origin, which is tied into Dances With Wolves. It links John Dutton to John Dunbar.

The events in Dances With Wolves occur around 1863-64, 65. I assume that John Dunbar was somewhere near 28yo, meaning he was born in 1835. It is fair to assume that he and Stands With a Fist conceived a child/children not long after leaving the winter camp, heading westward into Montana. Not knowing whether the army were still after him, it would be logical that he change his name, ...Dunbar to "Dutton". Dutton might be an easy switch from Dunbar. He and Stands With a Fist then settled on the frontier near Bozeman around 1866 with their newborn son, around the same time that the first cattle arrived in the area. This became the future for the Duttons, with their son (the future John Dutton's great grandfather) establishing the Yellowstone Ranch. The rest is history...

John Dutton's grandfather born around 1895, and his father born around 1925, rounding it out for John to be born in 1955, which is when Kevin Costner was born. Kaycee was born 1985 and Tate in 2010.

Make sense?

Well right now its halted construction from the investment group. So thats a pretty big deal as of right now. A lot can happen in the series before construction even gets going again.

I do wonder if Broken Rock is going to make a deal with the investment group though. I know they are still working with Dutton (from the previews) but they could still play both sides.

I was too until I saw Tim McGraw and Faith Hill were casted.

I think Sam Elliot will be good if he can harness his role in Tombstone and translate it to 1883 but not impressed with the rest of the cast.

I honestly think Rainwater is going to end up being an ally for John again. I think he knows that, for the future of Montana, he'd rather John keep all his land than let another real estate group in. Him making a deal with them, regardless of how much money they're offering, completely defeats the purpose of everything he's trying to achieve, which is keeping Montana the same. Turning Bozeman into another Aspen achieves the opposite. I think Rainwater has shown everything isn't about the money with him.

Tim is pretty good in everything he has been in. No clue on Faith Hill so apprehensive about that one.

Tim McGraw is actually an ok actor. I have doubts about Faith Hill, though

This show is based somewhat in reality with things like Newton's laws of physics

I dunno, a show sponsored by Dodge just showed a Dodge t-bone a van at 35+ mph and the airbags didn't go off.

When they first show her walking out, I was thinking it’s going to be like Gus from Breaking Bad.

Which, to be fair, wasn't all that realistic either. But still one of the most epic/iconic scenes in all of television.

Still, Breaking Bad definitely had more of a "grounded in reality" feel to it than this show. Which feels more like Sons of Anarchy on Horses.

Props if that really is true, but I just can’t buy all that w/ this show, even if Costner is an EP.

Whoever thought that up must really miss Carnivale.

Sorry, just jumping in…. I know kayce’s wife is not a fan favorite, but where was Tate in the premier…. I know he shot the dude, but we would think he would come see John upon his release. Unless Kayse sent her to the Reservation

Awesome first two episodes.

The only thing that bugged me as a snake guy is a Rattler will not do that if you throw it. Also the bite can be deadly if not treated but it takes a while to kill you.

They had him dying within 60 seconds. I know it’s TV but I did laugh.

FFS Beth absolutely cannot help having a monologue in every scene. I hate her character
