I'd rather have a Marvel vs Capcom movie.

Both would work.

It's hard to remember now, but there was a lot of resistance to Jackman at the beginning. He was a tall, unknown TV actor cast for the biggest fan favorite character. He won fans over and brought new fans into the fold. It's possible another actor could do that again with a little break between movies.

He really is.

Jackman, Downey Jr., and Evans are really those characters.

As cool as it would be to have Spider-Man and Wolverine on the screen at the same time, I think I'd prefer the two universes to stay separate. Or at least have them as in alternate dimensions. There's already enough "where was Iron Man when Captain America was in trouble?" talk. Having even more superheroes like the X-Men would make those even harder to defend.

Honestly, the X-Men aren't that hard to fit into the universe due to their outcast nature. Now, you have to explain why the public is okay with superpowered people like Avengers yet fear and hate the X-Men, who got their powers at birth, but Marvel's been dealing with that for decades. But once you resolve that, it shows why the X-Men don't really stick their necks out for most of the Avengers issues. The X-Men are like activists concerned with mutant rights.

Besides, they can get cordoned off pretty easily with a Genosha storyline and then the genocide of most mutant characters. Which sets up the whole Magneto was Right, and makes the mutant terrorist case a little more sympathetic: they are right. People are trying to exterminate them.

That's what people said about the Joker character after Nicholson.

Explanation: People are fricked up.

There were social experiments where they'd take an African-American and dress him up to pass as a visiting African, drop him in a location where blacks weren't treated well, and note how people were accepting of the "African" but treated the same guy as a second class citizen when he was just another American black guy.

We idolize minority members who are entertainers or sports heroes but mistrust the other members of their race.

I can see a world where planetary aliens and normal people who excel are treated like heroes, but an offshoot of homo sapien is treated like a race of freaks.

There was, but the interwebs wasn't what it is now, so it was easier to ignore that kind of stuff. I really did not like their first choice to play Wolvie; Dougray Scott.

I have friends who still bitch about Jackman's height. But even if a large portion of a generation of comic fans have specific needs for a character, they're still a small portion of the general viewing public.

After watching this season of True Detective, give the role to Stephen Dorff.

At first, Jackman was tall and not stocky. He didn’t look like a good choice. He’s roided up since then.

Jackman is great and owned the role but I really hope whoever they cast as the next Wolverine is more like his comic book counterpart. The best thing about Wolverine is he is short as hell (5'3) and it shocks the hell out of villains when he rages out on them.

Who could be the next Wolverine? Although seeing Robert Downey as Stark arguing with Hugh Jackman and Dr Strange would've been epic.

This^ People hate Mutants because some leaders like Magneto preach supremacy and hatred of humans. Some humans don't trust all mutants because you never know who follows this ideology. Captain America, Reed Richards etc. are just humans with powers, the public knows they don't follow the ideology of mutant supremacy because they don't have the X gene or have not displayed any mutant supremacy feelings.

I don't think the majority of movie goers want to see a midget Wolverine.

Why are you guys so hung up on Wolverine?

I would love for them to focus on cyclops, Jean, Storm, Beast, Prof X etc before even introducing Wolverine.

I think Marvel can do it.

I think most moviegoers are like me, having no knowledge of comics other than what we've seen on TV. I had no idea Wolverine was supposed to be short.

People bitched about Sir Ian McKellen playing Magneto because he wasn't imposing and muscular enough. Fanboys are not going to be satisfied no matter what.

I don't know how anyone can watch the movie Logan and still complain about Jackman.
