Sorry to keep using this source, but I couldn't pass this one up either.

Take my damn money if true even though it's an unconfirmed rumor.

"The Disney/Fox merger has resulted in many changes for The Walt Disney Company, including the acquisition of Fox’s film, TV studio, broadcast network, several cable channels, Star India and, most importantly, the company’s Marvel characters, which an unconfirmed rumor, states could now be merged together in this possible new film where the X-Men would fight the Avengers."

Current rumors suggest we'll be getting either X-Men or Fantastic 4 in 2022. I'm betting on X-Men.

Would rather this for the villains alone.

want The Maker or Doom as the next big bad. A full Reed arc going the way of the Maker would be tons of fun. Could mix well with the Celestials as well honestly. Reed chasing Godhood with Doom.

Yes. The fight between the X-Men and the Avengers will last 5 minutes on an airport tarmac according to my source in the industry.

I would hope it's at least a decade away.

No way you can give something like that the proper stakes any sooner.

Should have been done while Jackman was still in his prime.

Jackman's Wolverine vs. The Avengers would have been awesome.

Knowing nothing about comics, who would be the bad guys in this movie? Or would it be more along the lines of Civil War?

Would love some combo of Mr. Sinister, Dr. Doom and Carnage. Would require an insane amount of crossover, but good god would I pay to see it.

AvX in the comics focused on the status of mutants in the world. The Big bad was mainly the Phoenix Force/Cyclops

I actually would like a fully realized Cyclops as well. He's Marvel's most complete and storied character outside of Cap/Spidey/Hulk

I just don't see how the X-Men could beat the Avengers. Adamantium isn't cutting through Hulks skin.

Maybe with Phoenix? Idk.

Would be tough, but they'll have to do it.

Somewhat related, but I have no idea how they'll replace Robert Downey Jr. Dude is the perfect Iron Man.

Hulk and Wolverine have clashed several times in their history, and though Hulk wins most of their fights, Wolverine deals some serious damage in the exchanges. They are perfect foils for one another, as each can inflict brutal damage, yet the injured character can live because of their healing powers. In one encounter, Hulk literally rips Wolverine in half and throws his bottom torso onto the top of a mountain. Wolverine smelled his legs and climbed the mountain to retrieve them...

I agree that the Avengers could take the X-Men. Throw Magneto in on the X-Men and it's a different story.
