So, I've heard the criticism, but it was on and there's not a lot else to do. So I watched it.

It wasn't terrible, but DAMN was it annoying... "what would Raven do?".

I don't care about Raven/Mystique, she was a villian as far as I'm concerned, and that goes back a few years. Not really sure why we had to have the fixation on that character, and also not really sure why we needed to have the gender commentary "maybe we should be called X Women" tossed in.

Remove/ignore those, and it was a pretty entertaining popcorn movie.

Couple questions- how is Magneto levitating around in this? If he's wearing a metal exoskeleton, it wasn't shown.

Who are some of the unnamed characters- the mutants with Magneto, etc?

Honestly, I saw this in theaters and completely forgot everything that happened.

That speaks to how bad a movie it was.

I didn't think it was that bad at all. The hatred for this film is silly.

Because they lucked into casting a major star before she was a major star. If Lucas Till had turned out to be a Oscar winning leading man, it would've been Havok and the X-Men.

Wrong again like always.

She was a giant part in first class. Much bigger than havoc

It has the best action scenes in any X-Men movie.

Nah it sucked. There was nothing interesting about it. Even Last Stand took some big swings. Why'd they name the school after Jean and not Raven, who was killed by Jean? The made a big deal about how Raven was an inspiration to young mutants in Apocalypse, she gets murdered and they can't give her the school.

It's the 2nd worst X Men movie behind Wolverine Origins. I thought Apocalypse was bad but it looks like The Dark Knight compared to this.

I'm not sure what you mean. He's never required an exoskeleton to levitate. He uses the metal in the ground.

I remember only one thing about this movie. There was a scene where Michael Fassbender had to outstretch his hands and grit his teeth while grunting loudly in order to stop something from crashing into him or some stupid thing. I remember thinking - how stupid does this guy feel while filming this scene? While he was doing his best “I’m taking a painful dump” acting here, was he considering in his mind that this was the low point of his career?

They completely fricked up the Dark Phoenix story... Again. That’s why it gets the hate it so deserves.

Also. Sophie Turners acting was garbage, hit garbage, and I’ve only watched the Honest Trailer. Though she was pitiful in AoA as well so.

He uses the metal in the ground, to allow himself to hover? How?

I didn't hate it like others.

But the entire premise completely ignores the end of Apocalypse..

Not really the thread for it but I don’t care just want to post this somewhere.

If Thor 4 or GOTG 3 doesn’t have a scene in which Stallone’s character whips Thor back into shape Rocky style, then do we really need anymore MCU movies?

No. His costume is laced with metal fibers and he uses his power to levitate the metal, not himself.

And I want them to scale it up too.

Punching a beef slab? Naw we’re punching the ribs of some animal that eats whales like goldfish.

Lifting weights? Naw we’re lifting giant arse barbells with huge boulders on each end.

Doing sit ups? Okay yeah we are still doing sit ups, but Herschel Walker style.
