An epic fight between a superhero and supervillain, as seen through from the point of view of the average people on the streets below.

Sort of Cloverfield-esque.

Ok well here is one I thought of:

Historical-fiction account of the lives of the Roman guards and some of their internal struggles after being ordered to torture and crucify Jesus

You sure this would work? Why exactly would they feel something for torturing that specific person since most of them probably thought he was just some crazy guy anyway? I'm not saying it couldn't work, but I'm not sure how it would work considering that.

Maybe not all of them. Maybe one is struggling with it. Maybe he was the one that actually nailed him to the cross and is dealing with an internal struggle. His comrades that took part in it see it as another day on the job but he did his job but is now questioning his faith and what might become of him if that truly was the son of god

Ok. That makes more sense.

Here's my second shot at this (my first one kinda sucked )

A hero (not sure of the time period) must fight an evil that is overtaking all good, but the only way for him to survive is to kill an innocent person everyday.

All of my ideas seem to be science fiction-horror-supernatural based

I could see this being a good teen fiction type book like Harry Potter or something.

Two samurai from neighboring villages are in live with the same girl, they decide to fight to the death to settle it only to find she's a lesbo. A fun comedy.

The previous was a true western.
