The Reconquista - A comedy about a group of Mexicans who are convinced by the cartels to invade the United States. These idiots are really only a diversion to help the cartels smuggle in drugs by distracting the border agents, but the idiots think they're leading an invasion. Stars Cheech Martin as the Cartel Drug Lord and Gabriel Iglesias leads the New Mexican Army against Ron White's border patrol and Rob Cordrey's INS.

I made a short for a class project when we were talking about the Romantic Period. I invented a character called Romanticism Ron who had a time machine and went back to visit Edgar Allen Poe where he was the inspiration for all of Poe's stories by the way he acted around Poe.
When he left to go back to the future, Romanticism Ron warned Poe about staying away from dogs.

I've been trying to come up with an idea that is based on the theme of "Something wicked this way comes."
I've always liked that idea and would love to do a story in the vein of that book and Needful Things.
Just haven't come up with a story I like enough yet. When I do, I'm definitely going to try and produce that story.

Also, two more I'm tossing around:
1) An unemployed man decides to run for congress after watching cspan
2) An adventure film in the vein of Indiana Jones involving the Incan legend of Paititi - the lost city of gold.

After finishing a chapter, I'm gonna update my logline to this:
A rookie mathematics professor becomes an instant sensation on a university campus for his unique teaching style and causes math to "go viral."

I've just thought of a few film ideas that involve Native Americans. Aside from Apocalypto, there hasn't really been many films centered on Native Americans. Sure there are plenty of them that involve how Whitey views things, but not from the Natives point of view (and Dances with Wolves is still from Whitey's point of view). Here are a few concepts I've come up with.
1) The Trial of Tears through a 9 year old child's eye.
2) Have a film taking place in North America that has absolutely nothing to do with Westerners. Just paint a Native American War or something like that. Apocalypto came close, but the Westerners are still there at the end.
3) The Plague did not wipe out the Native Americans as it did in actual history (for those of you who don't know it wiped out 96% of people in North and South America). Have it take place in a modern day alternate history where Europeans failed to take over and tame America and see how things would be today.

The Coup
An American general disgusted by his floundering, overbearing government stages a military coup. Chaos erupts as Southern states see this as an opportunity to declare independence. America descends into a modern-day, GOT style conflict as powerful people, commoners turned revolutionaries, and politicians vie for power, to rule the most powerful country on Earth.
