Not a movie but...Black Sails

SPOILERS

Final Season - The way they killed Edward Teach (Blackbeard) was physically disturbing. If you have not seen it and don't plan on watching I will provide analysis below, otherwise don't read further and watch it for yourself.

They string a rope underneath the ship from one side (port) to the other (starboard). They tie one end of the rope to his hands and the other end to his feet. They are on deck. They hoist him up and over the side and drop him in the water. They then pull on the rope from the opposite side of the ship. He is dragged across the barnacle covered hull under the ship until he is pulled up on deck on the other side. The barnacles and wood hull scrape the flesh/skin from his body. The saltwater burns the open wounds. They repeat the process over and over, back and forth until he dies of trauma. If I remember correctly the governor states "no man has survived more than 2 passes".

ETA from below: Blackbeard goes 6 times before they have to shoot him because he won't die

Easily the most brutal death/form of execution I have ever seen.

Making of video for the scene...they show some short clips

In zodiac when the killer ties the couple who were picknicking up and just starts stabbing them in the back multiple times. All you see are their faces in agony. That one always got me..

No, he doesn't. They finally tire of doing it after the 6th time when he refuses to die and he executes him by gunshot to the head.

Ted Levine burning to death in The Hills Have Eyes remake was pretty horrific.

That's what came to mind for me. Made it worse that his family witnessed it all.

Lol...although not a funny subject, the comments about SVP included 3 different people. Devichio was Vin Diesel's character, the one that cried 'mama' was the medic and it was the lanky Italian guy that got the knife.
As for my scene, even though he didnt die,I thought Leo's bear scene was some of the hardest film to watch.

Platoon when the handicapped guy gets beat to death. It's not that graphic, but hard to watch.

Forest Whitticker's death in Rogue One. He was crushed by a mountain imploding on him when he could have extremely easily escaped in a space ship, but instead just said "f&%k it, I think I'll die now". It's one of the few true flaws in the movie. They should have at least had him try to get out only to have a rock fall on him and trap him or something.

I youtube'd Bone Tomahawk to see wtf you were talking about and there was a link to a movie called "The Martyrs"

Apparently that movie makes Hostel look like a Disney flick.

Well then they would have to do something with his character. Like give him an actual arc or something. What was his name again?

That is an intense and terrifying scene, especially if you knew the real life story of what was about to happen to that couple.

One of the most underrated movies IMO of all time.
