Also, first time in a movie theater since the lockdowns started. The Karens were on the prowl. We bought 5 seats together as a family. Karen, sitting alone a few rows up with her mask on had the usher come and ask for our tix and want to know why we had 5 people sitting so close together.

Mistakes one and two right there.

At least had you paid just through HBOmax you get access to content worth a damn to watch after the fact softening the blow of wasting 2.5 hours of your life to see maybe 20 minutes of Gal in the skimpy suit.

WHat plane was that and did it really have a range of 5000+ nautical miles?

1. F -16's guzzle fuel and the maximum fuel distance is 2,500 miles, so they crash in the ocean

2. There is a HUGE difference between flying a single engine prop plane with a max air speed of around 30-50 mph and a multi engine jet with a cruising air speed of 600 mph and the ability to go supersonic.

This thing bothered me but overall I thought WW84 was good but could be better

Critical Drinker review is up. Pointed out a lot of the issues talked about in this thread and hit on some points that I don't recall seeing discussed (the bad guy uses "wind" in the final battle vs WW). It also really showed how bad the CGI was.

why is DC's CGI so shitty? Marvel's is nearly seamless, DC's looks like they have interns doing it in every single movie

The movie was just straight up bad. Cool plot, I liked Pedro as the villain and the overall premise was solid. But my god, the cgi was bad, and it was so campy. WW saves a kid and as she is swinging by the slow motion show her smiling and winking at the kid.

Also, all the action just seemed, kinda slow. Like physically slow

The CGI is really bad. I don't know how to describe it, but the scene where she gets her powers back is cringe worthy bad CGI. She's running down the street and again I can't exactly explain it, but it looks ridiculous.

DC seems to have their own style of shitty CGI. I probably could recognize a DC movie just by that if needed

This might be the worst DC film I've seen.

How they brought Steve back by him taking over someone's body and Diana and Steve totally not giving a frick makes 0 sense, and that's the tip of the iceberg of frickery that is this film.

Do you remember the scene? Go back and watch it again.

Rape is ok when it's Gal Gadot, right?

They explained that by her saying "I only see you". So she justifies raping a dude with that one line.

Yeah that was pretty cringe. It also made no sense to me. Diana's wish means she gradually loses her powers AND some dude loses his life? Isn't that giving up two things??

Right, she just straight up didn't care. Or worse, what if dude was trapped in his own body, unable to do anything but spectate.

They could have at least done something with this. When she takes Steve to her workplace and introduces him, somebody could have said, "What are you taking about? That's George; he lives in my building." Even a one-off joke would let the audience know the movie is even aware of the weirdness of this scenario.

It's not like there was no reference for this in the comics. They could have just read anything with Deadman in it. I don't understand how this was just totally accepted. By everyone.

Because they're the all important movie makers and we're the dumb stumps who needn't ask questions, just consume product.

Got it?

Kinda felt this movie would be ridiculous when the trailer had her lasso-ing lightning bolts.

Wonder woman is 8x faster than the Flash now.

Catching bullets in mid air.

So, I kinda liked it lol

The plot shoehorning to get Chris Pine back in the movie was pretty lame and the mall scene was too corny for its own good but I really enjoyed the performance from Pascal.

The unrealistic jet travel and teleporting was laughable but didn’t ruin the whole movie for me.

I came here and saw everyone hated it lol, but I also liked XMen Apocalypse so super hero schlock is kinda my thing
