It’s a Sony movie and 23+ years of box office proves Spider-Man doesn’t need the MCU

Why is Sony giving a quarter of their earnings to marvel/disney if they don't have to

I mean, Andrew Garfield spidey franchise never even broke 275m domestic box office, they knew the iteration they were going was not working in the least bit

Sony needed Marvel to push the IP back into relevancy

movies made over $700million over 10 years ago. The highest grossing MCU movie of the last 3 made $521. GTFOH

Saw it today. It exceeded expectations. I like how they fixed most issues Spiderman had.
Worth seeing. 8/10.

He can't try and convince people a movie he hasn't seen is bad so he's got to find another point to argue over and throw the "liar" tag out over. If we just ignore him things would be more on track here.

I mean technically it's still Sony's Spiderman but let's not act like it's not Marvel making all the creative decisions. We've seen how poorly Sony has handled the Spidey verse or whatever universe they tried to make with Venom, Madame Web, and Morbius

Sony makes 75% of the money. It’s a Sony Movie.

No one is arguing it isn't a Sony movie. You felt the need to correct people calling it a marvel movie. Which was dumb to start with. Sony puts up 75% of the money, receives 75% of the profit, and handles 0% of the creative. You know this. This movie is part of the MCU, and includes characters from the MCU that aren't allowed in other Sony movies, and it was written and directed by MCU vets.

Stop cos cosplaying as the "logic" guy. You're doubling down on stupid just to be petty.

Good onscreen action & characters, little if any off screen drama, added to an already very popular iconic IP.

It’s a blueprint for doing this movie stuff right.
