People just like seeing this stuff on screen. Tom did a good job. Ned and Michelle Jones weren’t just NPC characters, they were genuinely fun to watch. I had a good time, but the more I break this movie down the less sense it makes.
The hand as mere hand puppets to be toyed with and utilized by the *DoDC was pretty silly. Despite them looking really cool on screen.
Spider-Man is pretty much OP in his natural form. I think stronger than Captain America in the MCU? But this level up with the mutation evolution just came off as another Symbiont, Hulk like power upgrade.
I think they really missed an opportunity for Jean to have given herself up not to the DoDC, but some avengers level, associated group, and then in a post credit scene , have her sitting in a jail cell and then rolls in a wheelchair, without showing who is in it.
* I see DoDC and I can’t help seeing Damage Control as the current state of Gunn’s DC .

Not sure if you noticed, but the industry expert, a year ago, was forecasting great things for Supergirl. Make of it what you will that somebody would go so bold so early, yet failed so utterly.
