Not really. It's about two white dudes on opposite sides of the political spectrum and how they fetishize and chase the same untamable black chick.

I thought Delroy Lindo played the best role in Sinners personally, but MBJ did a great job of portraying the 2 brothers different personalities. Overall, best actor was kinda weak this year. If I had to pick I’d have probably gone with Hawke in Blue Moon even though the movie drags. All the rest were good but nothing special

Jessie Buckley well deserved. Hamnet didn’t really do it for me but she absolutely crushed her role

I think people will look back on that like we do Crash.

(I like both movies, FTR)

His story is great, and he's a very nice guy, but MBJ isn't at all a good actor and should definitely not have won. Leo and Timothee deserved it more. Really Wagner and Ethan and deserved it more too.

And Rose Byrne should have won Best Actress. Not Buckley. I'm sorry she didn't really impress me either.

That’s a WILD take. She was easily the biggest favorite of the night. That whole birth scene was as elite as acting gets

Was so close to an Oscars without a political statement too, then he blew it. Just had to squeeze in a 6 second look at me.

Assuming their movies meet the high expectations, Lord & Miller, Spielberg, Nolan, and Villeneuve for Best Director next year is going to be a good race.

Michael B Jordan is a terrible actor. Him winning best actor is a complete joke.

I didn't listen to any of the garbage Kimmel said tonight but I'm betting it was political as hell.

I guess it technically is a wild take because you're right. She was a huge favorite. Still not correct IMO. I just thought Rose Byrne knocked it out of the park unlike Buckley. A couple meh cry scenes didn't impress me.

If there's one actor/actress that should have gotten love for that movie it should have been Paul Mescal. I actually thought he did the best acting.
