the ringer was great.. but knoxville was a bit over the top.. i think cuba was pretty good, but di caprio may have been the most believable.

My wife is a therapist who has worked with all types of "special people", although no rantards so far (except for me).
In her experience, DiCaprio is the only one who nailed this type of performance. IHO, she couldn't tell that he wasn't handicapped. And at the time of the movie, she didn't know who DiCaprio was...she said that scene where he stayed in the tub all night was just scary, because she knew of a similar incident.
Watch this movie (Gilbert Grape) if you haven't , at least to see the fat mama!
