i dont understand the complaining about parker posey's accent or the british girl's teeth but whatever. go watch "for your consideration", she's doing the exact same accent...and goggins' girlfriend is cute and unique, much sexier than any of the three bitchy friends. great job by the writers and casting folks, everyone is suitably creepy as shite

Lol I definitely noticed this. The wife is Thai and she was saying all the songs except for the khruangbin one were old Thai songs. I mentioned they completely ripped the iron man riff and she had no care or knowledge and just kept singing the words

Anybody else a little thrown off on the darker tone to start this season?
Usually the first episode is quirky and silly with some darkness tied in. This one was a lot more serious.
I think the Ratliff mom was supposed to be comedic relief with the obvious pill addiction. But Parker Posey’s accent is so so bad it’s hard to even listen to what she’s saying.
Jason Isaacs pulls it off well btw, good for him.

Isaac is kinda all over the place. Parts of it sounded like he was in East TN, then randomly comes up British

Yea I loved seasons 1 and 2 but this episode didn't give me much hope. All of the characters were just a bit annoying to watch on screen. Hopefully it gets better. I'm sure Goggins will be the highlight

Yeah, last season you just didn't like the characters and hoped they would have some bad luck. From the simp grandson to the dude who would rather jerk off than screw Audrey Plaza to the rich young couple phony as hell to the hookers to the woman who died at the end.
None of these characters in the current season have been even worth disliking so far. They come off as blah or weak.

Spot on. Last season you actively rooted against all the characters. Hopefully they can make that happen again but so far they just come off as cringey and irrelevant. Honestly they all kinda compare to Jennifer Coolidge's character from the previous seasons.
