Sanford and Sons is a great one...I remember it being mentioned on Scrubs, too.

Is it a good show? never seen it.

I linked to it, but didn't label it. Quincy Jones wrote it, if that tells you anything.

It ran for years and years. I liked it. It would certainly be a little dated. Like any highly regarded show, I would definitely watch the early seasons first. Red Foxx was a masterful actor. He just turned 50 when the show started its run, but he played a character in his mid-60s.

The Dexter theme is full of wonderful little creepy nuances and themes that drift in and out.

The Dexter intro is creepy as frick. I can watch him cut ppl into pieces no problem. But I fast forward through him making breakfast

Community and Monk are two that I find myself singing along too all the time.

I also like Scrubs, The Office and Psych.

Just to harp on it again.... Sanford and Son.

And for those who haven't watched any episode, catch the first few episodes of the first season. They are absolutely hysterical.

Lots of good ones in this thread, new ones and old ones!

I'll add an old one:

Taxi

From the "old shows" my personal favorite is still:

Hill Street Blues
(What a great show!)

Here's one from a "new-ish show" that hasn't been mentioned (if a t.v. mini-series counts):

Band of Brothers
(gives me chills!)

That's a good one. And the imagery! The murky view from below of the three Viking ships, two on fire, oars out and rowing, and bodies and an axe sinking is hugely full of win.
