What’s something in a movie that didn’t bother you at the time but looking back does

I’m thinking about like you as a watcher maturing as a person to see a film in a new light.

I don't how much it "bothers me" but when you watch the choreography of lightsaber duels in the Star Wars prequels, you realize how bad the lack of choreography for lightsaber duels in the original trilogy was.

Almost everything that happened in The Replacements

I’ve seen people say the opposite.

Mrs. Doubtfire.
When I was little it was all Robin Williams shenanigans.
But now, as a parent, it's really sad, weird, and creepy.

I was 14 when Revenge Of The Nerds hit the theaters. It had to be sometime in the 90s, at the earliest, before I saw it and noticed all of the cringe in that Darth Vader date rape scene.

They really did do Nadia wrong in American Pie and think about how self-defeating it was for Jim. If he had an ounce of confidence he could've played it straight as a tutoring session and been having sex with her all summer.

It wasn’t cringe. In Animal House, they slightly broke the law and did some fricked up things. In Revenge of the Nerds, all of them should have received at least a 5 year prison sentence and others a 30 year sentence. Revenge of the Nerds I think even by the most loose standards is pretty unacceptable these days. Those guys should be in prison for sure and it has aged extremely poorly. I mean seriously, your kid is naked on pie crust for simply changing in her own bedroom. These people in the fraternity would be going to federal “pound me in the arse prison” for that, nevertheless the overt rape that happens in the movie.

Not a movie, but Hank Hill paying sticker price on a vehicle.

None of that is a federal offense.

Revenge of the Nerds' biggest offense is giving people a false idea of what college life was like.

Pretty much everything in Sixteen Candles.
It really is a movie full of assholes. Seriously. Go back and watch it again.

Its my favorite film, but in Night of the Living Dead its frustrating to me that they didn't let Mr Cooper have the basement..in this house..
After Ben secured the bottom floor with boards, they sit around in a secure area for at least an hour or two..instead of bringing all the supplies to the 2nd floor, parking his truck driver's side window against a bottom floor window in case they wanted to flee and needed fast access, filling glasses of water to have in case its shut off, food from the fridge, etc.. knocking out the stairs, and using the windows and attic/roof.
Where they had a Winchester 1894 repeater (with boxes of ammo). It bugs me but I still love it.

First off you don’t get the Office Space reference. Secondly, they were committing very serious crimes. Otter manipulating Faun Leibowitz’s friends is one thing. Raping a girl and using her sorority sister’s naked photos against their will or knowledge is another.

I did. It just didn’t work.

The severity of a crime is not really related to whether it’s a federal or state crime. No federal crimes are implicated in anything you’ve said were.

Not sure where Animal House comes into play in all of this. But you're seriously okay with someone having sex with a passed out minor in Animal House and draw a line at a Darth Vader mask?

Didn't happen. She passed out and he dumped her on her daddy the Dean's door step. He did however have sex with the 13 year old minor/virgin later...so statutory rape sure.

The scene where Mrs Doubtfire gets caught peeing standing up was what gets me..
