Casablanca is a cinematic classic for good reason.

It's one of the best scripts (arguably the best) of all-time.

The movie I never understood the love for is The Deer Hunter...laziest filmmaking I've ever seen.

If you took a flight from L.A. to NY and the in-flight movie was "The Deer Hunter"... The movie would still be playing when you landed and all the passengers would be asleep.

I'm with you. The humor in the movie just doesn't do it for me.

nearly everything from Tarantino (except Dusk til Dawn and especially the opening of Inglorious Bastards)

Agreed. Hard to get invested in characters when you know they're all going to die at some point in the movie. I'm curious to watch Once Upon A Time in Hollywood as it seems to reverse this trend. I liked Kill Bill well enough. Just not a Tarantino fan, I guess.

It's a Wonderful Life-mawkish drivel;
The Dark Knight-just too far fetched and illogical;
Avengers Endgame-terrible villain and was bored with the story before the movie ended;
Boondock Saints-the movie that thinks it's much cooler than it is.

Can't stand Big Trouble in Little China but some people act like it's a sin to not like it.

Dune currently

Older ones would be the Monty Python movies.

Forest Gump. Parts I like. Iconic & all but overall I didn’t care for it.

Yep.

First time I watched it I couldn’t begin to understand the love for it.

But I thought maybe I had unrealistic expectations based on the hype. A few years later I decided to give it another chance.

Still didn’t care for it. Might be my least favorite Coen Brothers Movie.

I really enjoyed it when it was released. But I find it aged horribly

They’d still be at the wedding when the plane landed.

Pulp Fiction. I can stomach just about anything from Casablanca to Master of Disguise, but Tarantino has always struck me as someone who tries way too hard to be edgy and weird. I absolutely love authentically edgy and weird movies though

I absolutely hate the moral conundrum they placed on Renner’s character and the manipulation of Adam’s character for not telling him.

I’m all about pro-life and better to have love and lost than to have never loved at all, but withholding that knowledge from him so that it would happen and she would have that time with her daughter is shite.

Matrix and Mad Max Fury Road.

Nothing really against them but neither do anything for me.

Anything Kubrick did I hate except FMJ. Just awful. I’d rather watch Soace Balls than 2001.
